COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Here in Brooklyn we’ve combined European malt and hops, Belgian dark sugar, and raw wildflower honey from a New York family farm to create Brooklyn Local 2. Our special Belgian yeast adds hints of spice to the dark fruit, caramel, and chocolate flavors. After 100% bottle re-fermentation, this ale reveals a marvelous dry complexity, enjoyable by itself or at the dinner table.

KajII (801) - Macon, North Carolina, USA - MAR 13, 2011
UPDATED: MAR 3, 2013 750ml Bottle. The pour was a clear medium brown with an average (1-2 finger) light brown frothy head that did not have the greatest retention, reducing to a puddled film and had good streaky lacing. The aroma was of a nutty dark bread malt, a mild funky Belgian yeast and a very slight hint of floral hops with notes of citrus (orange), honey, chocolate, dark fruit (overripe grapes and plums), and clove. The taste was a little acidic and mildly sweet with notes of citrus and honey and a mild malty dark roast undertone at first, and then became lightly bitter and a tad yeasty with hints of chocolate, dark fruit and had a mildly spicy alcohol finish. The flavor lasted an average duration following the swallow, with a mild spicy yeast taste left behind along with a slight alcohol warming sensation. Mouthfeel was between light and medium in body with an oily texture and a nice lively carbonation. Overall I found this to be a nice smooth and easy to drink brew, although I do think it could have been a little more flavorful for a Belgian Style Strong Ale... www.facebook.com/KAJIIsBeerReviews

Bottle at home. Pours dark brown with a big beige head. Aroma has dried fruits, maybe raisins, malts and some Belgian style yeast. Taste is a bit sweet and malty with fruits. Quite nice and smooth. A bit of booze on the palate but not too much. Nice one.
