COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
From the city’s fine restaurants to the beloved tamale lady outside our Brooklyn brewhouse every morning, Mexican food is a staple of life in New York City. Brooklyn Naranjito was brewed with some of our favorite dishes in mind. We put the pop of citrus that graces some of our favorites into a beer with a helping of sweet orange peel in the brew kettle. The vivacious fruit lends a burst of juiciness, a fresh, ticklish aroma and a decidedly refreshing finish to this American pale ale. It’s amazing what a little orange (naranjito) can do.

On draft at Gramps. the pour is a clear golden yellow with a thick white head and relatively jonlace ad it falls down as a thick cap. The aroma is interesting. Grainy and plain with a hint of hop and some bitter orange peel. Not a whole lot happening. The flsvor is more. There is a bit of malt happening with the light hop and the orange peel actually adds a decent finish and a light bitterness. The malts come through sweetly on the finish and I don’t care for it. The mouth feel is more of a medium body with a soft carbonation and a lingering malt graininess on the aftertaste. Ugh. This isn’t that great. 5 4 6 3 12

Clear medium yellow color with a bubbly white head and good retention. Small spots of lacing. Hoppy nose. Juicy hop flavor with light bitterness. Orange flavors are very muted. Decent for a pale ale.

Draught at Lexington Whole Foods. Clean yellow pour. Some fruit or juice in addition to a bit of hops. Easy drinking if not completely flavorful.

Bottle. Pours a semi clear orange gold color with no lasting head. Nose is bittersweet citrus with ‘ soft ‘ pine. Taste is hoppy and bitter but a little naranjito as described by the brewer really does mean too little naranjito. Descent but lacks any real orange character or backbone. Quaff Score 6 / 10. 6-3-7-3-11

Golden draft beer in a pint glass has little head to start, which fades to nothing. The aroma is hoppy with a decent, though pedestrian citrus-herb scent. This is light on the palate, where relatively mild navel orange bitter flavor takes over anything else. It's okay.

Bottle. Clear yellow body, big white head. The aroma ha oranges, so does the body.

bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Aroma of malt. Clear straw amber color, ivory head that sinks to a thin cover, lots of lace dots. Taste is light malt that adds bittering on the swallow on the way to a short finish. Fair to middlin'.
