Draft at the brewery. Golden orange. Lots of sorachi notes, dill and coconut notes. Medium body. Lots of flavor at 3.9%. Not a huge sorachi fan, hop not beer, but a well made beer bob_w (373) - new york, New York, USA - JUL 11, 2013
The Oishi, which is Japanese for "delicious", is a 3.9% abv session version of the Sorachi Ace, which normally clocks in at 7.6% abv. We love the Sorachi Ace, and we also found Oishi to be an incredibly tasty, refreshing treat. Hazy golden in color with a light, white lacy head, it had a nice lightly citrus hop note mixing with some pleasant yeast aroma. While fairly light, effervescent and well carbonated, it offered a body that was light yet substantive. The flavor hinted at something of a mix between a Belgian pale ale and malty saison, with a faint citrus note in the flavor as well. The hops seemed to add to the citrus quality, melding nicely with the yeast flavor, and there was a nice bitterness to enhance the almost wheat-like pilsner malt flavor (the main malt used is German 2-row pilsner malt). This is a beer that will be very easy to drink by the liter on a warm spring day! Leighton (22027) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 30, 2012
Bottle at the Funky 8, Brooklyn, NYC. Cloudy yellow pour with a decent, white head. Belgian yeast on the nose with floral and fruity accents. Light to medium sweet flavor some zesty citrus, dough, spices. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Pleasant finish, mildly bitter with more mild dough, spice, lemony citrus and some yeast. Light and mellow overall - in a good way. Nice beer.

Had this at the campsite at BCTC. Pours a hazed gold with a medium to large white head. Musk and lemon, citrus and zest. Medium bodied, musk and grain with touches of lemon. Like a lighter and more sessionable Sorachi Ace. Musk, clean lemon, toast and grain. Tart musk, long and smooth bitterness. Long musk. Very tasty. Tap @ Brooklyn brewery. Chose this for the low alcohol. Sean’s bachelor party. Light hazy yellow with a steady white head. Nose is nice; grassy and zesty, very dry. Light Belgian character, green hops, dry finish. Nice stuff. Should have doubled up on this one instead of getting that other one. blipp (9590) - La Mesa, California, USA - APR 5, 2012
Draft. Pours yellow with a white head. Grassy hoppy and piney aroma, flowery too, with light pale malty notes. The flavor has pine, spruce, grass and herbs, with a relatively clean pale malty base. The Belgian yeast here really doesn’t come through that much, but it’s there. Really awesome. 3.9 ABV and flavorful and hoppy and delicious. Please for the love of god tell more brewers to make beers like this. Maverick34 (3313) - New York, USA - APR 4, 2012
Poured hazy yellow on draft from tiger. Lemony grassy notes and taste. Seemed almost wit-like. Theis (15152) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - MAR 30, 2012
Draught at Brooklyn Brewery. Cloudy yellow - white head. Flowery notes. Belgian yeasts. Light zesty. Fruity notes. Light coriander. Light phenolic. Nutty oxidation notes. Light bitterness.
