On tap at Brooklyn Brewery, Williamsburg, Brooklyn, NY. Clear amber hued beer with small off-white head with good lacing. No discernable carbonation. Aroma of sweet malt and hops. Light-to-medium bodied with sweet malt flavor and finishes with lingering hop bitterness. Rather thin textured and watery flavored. A drinkable but weak Oktoberfest beer. jhliesen (833) - West Melbourne, Florida, USA - DEC 4, 2005
Bottle-pours a deep red copper color with a smallest head that leaves a slight amount of lacing. Good filling malt taste mixed a coying amout of sweetness , had a nice roasted aroma. A fine Oktoberfest. Asheville Wine 1.30 ABUSEDGOAT (2783) - California, USA - DEC 1, 2005
This is a beer I had last year. Memory is poor. Clear slightly dark amber body with small head. Caramel and earth. That’s about all I can say. Was ok. Magjayran (1378) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - NOV 14, 2005
Amber color with a decent white head. Very malty aroma with some hints of pear. Flavor is sweet and simple, perhaps too sweet for the style. Well made but plain. Quiver (140) - Augusta, Georgia, USA - NOV 14, 2005
A nice easy drinking Oktoberfest beer. Nothing spectatular, but nothing horriable either. Pours burnt red... pretty malty, no overwelming hop taste. nice frothy head, decent lacing. Not bad for an American Oktober brew.

This didn’t do it for me. I’m amazed at how often american bewers just miss the mark on oktoberfest beers. Malty but just somehow too flat. Not a beer I would want to hoist over and over in large steins. MiP (15943) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - NOV 11, 2005
Bottle- Slightly malty aroma. Flavour also malty, and slightly cardboardy. Almost clear, dark orange/copper colour. High carbonation. Boring. PetetheMeat (621) - Hove, DENMARK - NOV 10, 2005
Amber, off white small medium lasting head. Lacing. Malty, floral aroma. Good carbonation. Malty, sweet flavour with notes of roasted malts. Alcohol. cazort (565) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 9, 2005
UPDATED: DEC 13, 2007 I’ve tried this beer twice and it was very different each time (bottle) which makes me wonder about consistency. Both times it was actually true to the style. Malty, in that Oktoberfest sort of way, not much hops. Happily lacks the sourness that some Oktoberfest brews have. The second time I had this beer it was much hoppier, in fact, it was probably the hoppiest Oktoberfest I’ve ever had, and as such, was my fav. Oktoberfest. I hope the second way is the way they continue to make it. TrevorFloyd (309) - Connecticut, USA - NOV 8, 2005
Nothing too creative, but a well balanced oktoberfest in my opinion. It left me wishing I had more, which is more than I could say for many other Oktobers I’ve tried.
