Brooklyn Oktoberfest was introduced in 2000. It is true to the original German style, full-bodied and malty, with a bready aroma and light, brisk hop bitterness. When Crown Prince Ludwig of Bavaria wanted to celebrate his wedding engagement in 1810, he did what any good Bavarian prince would--he threw a beer festival. Bothe the festival and the special beer served there became known as Oktoberfest. Brewed from the finest German malt and hops, Brooklyn Oktoberfest is true to the original style, fullbodied and malty, with a bready aroma and light, brisk hop bitterness.

Aroma: malt, bread, caramel and grass. Taste: sweet malt dominates, though other flavors like bread, caramel, citrus and grass enhance beer complexity. High drinkability ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Good flavor. A little too sweet for my Octoberfest taste. I would buy again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very beautiful reddish amber with lots of carbonation and creamy tan head. Smells like bread. Nice creamy body, rich malty flavour, some Euro grassy hops. No rough edges. Seems like the style.

From 330ml bottle. Pours dark amber colour, small white head that soon dissipates. Aroma is a little of bread and malts. Some carbonation on the tongue on first taste. Light caramel taste with hints of hops and malt. Not much bitter. Easy to drink for that Oktoberfest period. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: NOV 24, 2016 02-NOV-2016, Tap @Brooklyn Brewery. Amber with a lasting, White head. Caramel, oragen, spice, and a slightly hoppy spicy note. Sweet, smooth, easy drinking.

Bottle from Oddbins central. A clear ruby-amber beer. Aromas of malt, toffee apples and clove. Initial taste is light malts and pine resin developing into a deeper malt aftertaste. Sparkling medium carbonation with surprisingly light finish for such a spicy beer. A bit like a Christmas pudding if it were made as beer. Nice as long as you like malts.

On tap at Ice Cold Beer Here 2. It pours a clear golden orange color with an off white head. The aroma has some toasted malt, orange, honey and flowers. The flavor is very caramelly with some earth, florals, toast and orange. Kinda sweet on the palate. Not bad, but a little too sweet for the style.

chinchill (5159) - South Carolina, USA - NOV 12, 2016
