Tap at Blind Tiger Ale House. Golden colored with a fluffy quickly dissipating head. Citrus in taste, but also quite hoppy. Nothing really special. It seems like flavor-wise it’s in limbo, wanting to be something special but not quite making it. The spices and flavors are not really working together right and I just can’t put my finger on what’s making this beer not full of potential like what we would expect from Brooklyn. I don’t know what to say about this except that if I had to choose between the Scorcher and any other Brooklyn beer, I would chose any other Brooklyn beer.
Can from Tesco, Bicester. Oxon consumed at Scott’s Saturday 26th August 2017 Pours sparkling clear gold with a white head. Pleasant session IPA, dry and bitter, a touch of lemon, like it. A6 A5 T7 P3 Ov13 3.4 Leini (2079) - SWEDEN - JUL 19, 2016
355ml bottle. Golden body with a medium white head. Straight forward sulphury and bitter, lacking the hop complexity expected for it’s stule. BREWMUSKCLES (2743) - New Jersey, USA - JUL 14, 2016
your not going to get a really great IPA that has a low abv. from what i can tell it ends up chalky and course in taste. and it comes up short and thin in body. you can get an ipa flavor but its like ultra beer...it’s well it’s, it just sucks. not that this sucks it has some decent points to it but it’s like light chocolate, decaf,or low calorie pie. AND NO I HAVE NOT BEEN DRINKING! anyway grapefruit profile with white pith. low body and light sweetness this beer is not complex with little malt profile

Growler. Pours a mostly clear gold with a very thin soapy white head that was gone after the first sip and left no lace. Pleasant aroma of lemon with a few floral notes as well. The flavor is weak malt followed by some mildly bitter citrus hops. Generally weak overall. Light bodied. So so.

Golden ale with a thin white head. Nice floral hops in aroma with nice caramel malts. Good lightly sweet malt with notes of lemon and honey and good residual honey hops. Medium bodied. On tap at Clark’s Ale House, Summer 2005. tiggmtl (4543) - East York, Ontario, CANADA - NOV 30, 2005
Fresh, lively, floral, citrus, earthy, hop forward aroma. Clear golden body with a generous and lasting white head that laces well. Citrus, floral and earthy hops over a light, crisp toasted malt base. Medium body with refreshing crisp carbonation. Sampled from a 12oz growler with Olivier_MTL and Rastacouere at the service area off I87N in Glenns Falls, NY.

UPDATED: DEC 14, 2008 [draft at MacGregor’s - Henrietta, NY] Gold color with a fizzy white head. Aroma is very hoppy and peppery. Definitely smelled more like an IPA. The taste began with a very hoppy sensation, but quickly disappeared and left no aftertaste. Very strange, but very drinkable.
