COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Brooklyn Brewery is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. We are fortunate to be a part of the incredible cultural renaissance Brooklyn has enjoyed during the last quarter century. Four great Brooklyn artists whom we met along the way—Fred Tomaselli, Roxy Paine, Joe Amhrein and Elizabeth Crawford—have created special labels for our Silver Anniversary Lager beer. We are saluting our beginnings with a special doppelbock version of the Brooklyn Lager we introduced in 1988. This beer is re-fermented in the bottle and will taste great today or years from now. The original was inspired by the beers of 19th Century New York and Vienna.

hackobock (4029) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - DEC 26, 2015
December 26, 2015. Bottle.
Light hazy amber with a small white head. Aroma is earthy, herbal, malty, dusty, some yeast and vegetal notes. Taste is medium sweet, soft bitter. Finish is light to medium sweet, very soft bitter and grassy, herbal and some vegetal notes. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, rounded mouthfeel.
Unfortunately it has a disturbing earthy vegetal character, not a fan.

glad I got to sample this, cause there was no way I was ever going to pay asking price on a bottle, especially when I can Celebrator for a small fraction of the price. Nice n bready aroma and flavor. Deep malt profile with a hint of spice. Body is medium to full, a tad over carbonated, but that’s easy enough to fix.

_angst_ (4802) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - NOV 30, 2015
Bottle shared at RBScSG in Gothenburg. Pours hazy burnt yellow with a small frothy offwhite head that leaves a small trace on the glass while dissipating.Smell is malty and herbal with caramel, bread, dark honey, black tea, hay, minerals and lemon peal. Taste is sweet, slightly bitter, malty and herbal. Mouthfeel is soft, round, tiny boozy and medium bodied. Finish is sweet and slightly bitter with caramel, sweet bread, honey, tea, minerals and lemon peal. Solid but nothing you’ll remember for long...

Hazy amber pour with a thin white head .... aroma of sweet malts, light orange and toasted malts ..... Tastes of toasted malts, caramel malts, light fruity notes mainly orange ..... Has a simple malt character and finishes dry and malty..... Simple but abv hidden very well .... Medium to heavy body

Keg pour at NH Brewfest. Appearance is orange-brown without sparkle, decent off-white head with nice lacing. Aroma is sweet bready malts. Taste is moderately sweet maltiness, same as nose. Palate is medium bodied with slightly slippery texture and soft to average carbonation. Overall, this is good but not a heck of a lot of balance to it.

MotherBrother (945) - Aalborg, DENMARK - SEP 19, 2015
Pour an opaque murky amber, with a large frothy white head. Aroma of slight forest berries (in the maltiest of ways) caramel, malts, faint grassy hops. Taste is pretty sweet up front, with a pleasing bitterness. Somewhat full bodied, with a lively carbonation. I quite like this for sure.

Copper color with an off-white head. Strong hop aroma with resinous and pine notes. Medium body. Some caramel sweetness. Drinks more like an IPA than a doppelbock in my opinion.
