Keg from Black Isle Bar, Inverness. Great hit of Belgian yeast and complex, hoppy notes in the aroma. The depth continues right through - lemongrass and pepper, citrus, grass. Really nice. maltdog (626) - New Mexico, USA - MAY 23, 2017
I don’t know if I got a bad or mishandled bottle, but this beer was somewhere between disappointing and disgusting. Poured deep yellow with a billowing, fluffy head that mushroomed out of the glass. Faint caramel and hot plastic aromas. Taste was sweetish with very light toffee/honeyed malt, butter bordering on cheese, and caramelly wood and sherry notes. I would swear it was an oak aged malt liquor. There was a "hot machine oil" character that reminded me of an elevator or subway station. No hops, Sorachi or otherwise, in nose, flavor, or finish. Likewise, no Belgian yeast character. Watery, bland mouthfeel. Clareeses (160) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - MAY 21, 2017
On draft at iTAP. Citrus and wheat aroma, pours cloudy golden yellow with minimal head and minimal carbonation. Sorachi hops are unique - piney and sappy, finishes mildly sweet with honey aftertaste. Unique beer, easy enough to drink with a unique twist that keeps it interesting. gnoff (10985) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAY 21, 2017
355 ml bottle at 7.2% ABV, on May 21, 2017. BB 17/08/17.caribou43 (1186) - Lausanne/Sevilla/Lima, SWITZERLAND - MAY 17, 2017
Hazy pale golden color, fairly big but rather bubble white head. Light phenolic, spicy, minty, doughy, yeasty, sweet, malty scent. Spicy, yeasty, pheolic, dry, bitter, minty, dill taste. Malty, minty, yeasty aftertaste. Smooth soft low CO2 mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Mineral presence
I bought this bottlenat one Coop in Lausanne, I drank it tonight with my wife. In my point of view, it is a pleasant beer, I think better than the IPA version, really refreshing and well balanced during all the sips. The color is a nice yellow/gold and troubled body, thin and white head, regular carbonation. The taste is dry and fruity, dominant touch of this hop sorachi giving notes of green tea, nice bitterness, malty but hidden by the hop, dry and at the final more fruity, easy to drink.

14/20 really floral, lavender, honey taste with an alcohol kick. Not fizzy at all like other sorachi I have had

Leicht trübes goldgelb mit durchschnittlicher Schaumkrone. Malzig, hefig, leicht fruchtig, Zitronenschale, blumig, etwas Pfeffer, leicht trocken. ephvir (10) - - MAY 13, 2017
Hazy yellow gold pour with white head. Smells of lemongrass - they struck gold with the goal they were trying to achieve with the Sorachi hop (which presents lemongrass aromas). There is a spice component balancing it out, with pepper in the background. This is a standout for sure in terms of aroma. Tastes follows the mouth, with a smooth creamy mouthfeel. The pepper component is strong midway, then dissipates. The malt is minimal and very delicate. The Sorachi hop (lemongrass component) is the big star in aroma and taste.

Yellow beer, decent white head. Light, floral citrus aroma. Taste is sweet lemon, some bitter hop, a bit of herby, pepperyness. Distinctive and tasty, despite there being a fair whack of coconut which normally I don’t like. it works here though. Embrouille (2854) - SWITZERLAND - MAY 7, 2017
Bottled 355ml. My version was clocking in at 7.2 ABV. Coconut and citrusy hops showing up throughout. Some spring onion and pickle like elements. Dry. Bisucuity pale malts and a lovely yeast profile. Medium bodied. Delicate carbonation. Dry finish which makes you eager to take another sip. Deeply refreshing.
