COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Sorachi Ace is a classic saison, a cracklingly dry, hoppy unfiltered golden farmhouse ale, but featuring rare Sorachi Ace hop.Fermented with our special Belgian ale strain, we add Sorachi Ace hops post-fermentation. After 100% bottle re-fermentation with Champagne yeast, the beer emerges with a bright spicy lemon zest aroma. It tastes like sunshine in a glass, and that suits us just fine, especially with seafood dishes and fresh cheeses.

An important beer for me, after having this at PSBH 2013 realised I love sorachi ace hops. Lemon, coconut, creamy smooth, very mild spicy esters from the yeast. Unbelievably good. Had fresh at Brooklyn brewery in 2014 and it was simply amazing.

Bottle from Miorge Mihoublon, Arlon, Belgium!
Pours golden yellow with a solid white head. Aroma has fruity hops, some passion fruit. Taste is fruity-sweet, well balanced bitter, flowery with some spices.

Bottle from SAQ A: nice citrusy highlights, with fresh herbs, peppery, spicy. App: clear golden with thick lasting white head. Great lacing T/p: med body with light acidic finish. Moderate high carbonation. O: I usually despite 750 ml bottle cause I easily get bored by a beer. Not this time, I’m in for a treat. Super drinkable and fun to sniff. I’m about to start stirring a risotto, I’m in good company.

750 mL. Here’s one I can’t believe I haven’t rated yet. This is an amazing saison in its own regard, let alone the very smart addition of Sorachi Ace. The beer is cloudy copper with a giant mountain of a head. It pours and looks like a real, classic beer from Belgium. Very pungent Sorachi Ace in the nose with bit dill and lemon. Peppery notes from the yeast compliment this perfectly with a crackery malt bill. The mouthfeel is extra dry and very effervescent, though still noticeably creamy. Huge dill flavor again but with very pleasant yeast notes of fruits and pepper. Complex, ridiculously tasty, unique, and very well made.

Keg Half Pint at White Horse American Beer Festival 2015, Parsons Green, London in July 2015 - Hazy Orange Gold in colour. Medium head. Good lacing. Fruity; tangy lemon citrus. Spicy. Yeasty. Hoppy; earthy and herbal hops. Malty; sweet malts. Deceptively smooth and easy drinking. Good fruit/hops/malt balance. Sweet-bitter fruity spicy yeasty and dry throughout. Liked this. Nice lemony saison! (2015-07-02)

Bonne Saison bien en céréales qui était meilleure une fois un peu réchauffée... Le nez me rappelait surtout le citron et l’aneth, sans toutefois me sembler fraîche.

750 ml bottle purchased at the Boisbriand SAQ on December 22, 2016. Light gold, big head. Sweet hoppy barley and rye aroma, a bit dry. Very dry hoppy taste, some semi sweet cereal and not that refreshing, mild bitterness. it’s a OK saison, not the way I wanted to and the year!
