Brooklyn Sorachi Ace is a classic saison, a cracklingly dry, hoppy unfiltered golden farmhouse ale, but featuring rare Sorachi Ace hop.Fermented with our special Belgian ale strain, we add Sorachi Ace hops post-fermentation. After 100% bottle re-fermentation with Champagne yeast, the beer emerges with a bright spicy lemon zest aroma. It tastes like sunshine in a glass, and that suits us just fine, especially with seafood dishes and fresh cheeses.

Pours yellow with big head. Nose is lemon zest, grass, wheat, yeast. Well carbonated and creamy. Taste is lemon zest, herbal, yeast. Complex taste. Some aftertaste, less funky than other saisons. Refreshing, light, complex, tasty. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Ambisious saison. Taste off dill, lemongras, mango, banan. Perfect style to promote Sorachi Ace hop. Very good beer for food. 0,75 liters that are fermented in bottle with champagne cork ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

First Brooklyn experince and really enjoyed it. Nice flavour profile and easily drinkable. Well done.

The aroma is more potent than most wine. Complexity is phenomenal. Notes of spice complement yeast.

Bottle. Pours hazy light yellow with a big creamy head. Aroma is nicely yeasty and acidic with lots of hoppy fruits and citrus as well as some funkiness and light whiffs of hay. Creamy body with soft carbonation. Flavour is yeasty and tart with flowers and notes of apricots, with a nice long tart and dry finish.

keanex (1799) - Atco, New Jersey, USA - JUL 9, 2013
Bottled August 31, 2012.
Appearance: The body is a hazy golden with orange hues and a tall white head that has excellent retention and leaves a lot of lacing on the glass as it dissipates into a messy uneven coating.
Aroma: The aroma is slightly malty with hints of semi-sweet lemon, and light peppery spice.
Taste: The sip is very mild on the intro with a mild malt sweetness, but it becomes spicy and mildly lemon on the finish.
Palate: Medium bodied with high carbonation.
Overall: I guess this is past it’s prime, after all it’s 10 months old now. I remember this being a lot more lemony, this simply drinks like a decent saison now. I’ll re-evaluate when I find a fresher bottle.

Nocturne (1992) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - JUL 9, 2013
On tap at PSBH, Manchester. Slightly hazy gold with a fluffy white head and lacing. Zesty, grassy hop aroma. Delicious pillowy lemon wash on the tongue. Dry white grapes and honey. Saison spice and yeast cascading through it all. A really good showcase for this hop and a decent saison too.

Pale yellow pour, tight white head, great lace that hangs on all the way through. Floral lemon nose. Middle is light, creamy, yeasty, herbal and citrus. Finish is dry and crisp hops.

May be my favorite saison. Pours a beautiful hazy orange with brown hints. Taste starts with some farmhouse funk, mellows out and finishes with a nice hint of lemon. Absolutely fantastic.

It's like a Geuze without being one. Just awesome and pair it with Seefood or other delicious food you would pair with a Geuze. If you can, grab a bottle.
