COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Sorachi Ace is a classic saison, a cracklingly dry, hoppy unfiltered golden farmhouse ale, but featuring rare Sorachi Ace hop.Fermented with our special Belgian ale strain, we add Sorachi Ace hops post-fermentation. After 100% bottle re-fermentation with Champagne yeast, the beer emerges with a bright spicy lemon zest aroma. It tastes like sunshine in a glass, and that suits us just fine, especially with seafood dishes and fresh cheeses.

750 ml. bottle. Served in a snifter. Yeasty aroma hits as soon as the bottle is uncorked. Spicy nose with, as mentioned earlier, heavy yeast. Pours a pale yellow with a three-finger head. Highly carbonated, fruity, crisp, and dry. Saison isnt one of my favorite styles, but Brooklyn has brewed a nice one. This one ranks up there with Goose Islands Sophie.

Keg @ Stormbird, Camberwell. The pours a hazy, bright gold color with a modest white head. The nose is of banana mash, spices. Plenty of generally bucolic aromas, belgian yeast. The taste is mild tropical fruit, lemon zest, farmhouse yeast. Nicely chalky, dry finish. Very refreshing. Mild marshmallow and bubblegum sweetness. Light body, wonderfully expressive. Easy to drink, especially considering the ABV. Overall, a really solid beer. Well made stuff.

On keg from The Beerhive. Small white head, body is light golden amber. Nose of citrus, some apple and bubblegum. A fair bit of carbonation in the mouthfeel, swells nicely. Flavours of tropical fruit and more bubblegum, which lingers on the aftertaste with a small amount of bitterness. Really good beer.

Had this beer on tap at Soba in Pittsburgh. Loved it so much I bought 2 bottles when I got home. Hazy golden color with lots of carbonation and a pillowy white head. Flavor is spectacular - crisp lemony citrus start, immediately followed by a quick punch of Belgian yeast, then a looong lingering combination of oakiness and slight hints of vanilla. This is a complex, sophisticated beer that makes you want to take the next sip to experience the taste again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Drunk f/ 750 ml bottle. Pours a hazy yellow color. Billowy off-white head. Aroma of malt and faint lemon. Taste is dominated by a dry lemon and hops. Followed by malt flavors. Light body. Finishes with alcohol and faint spice while the dry lemon zest persists. A bit watery on the palate.

UPDATED: JUL 6, 2015 Keg at Exmouth Arms, Clerkenwell, London. A hazy yellow/gold coloured pour with a healthy fluffy white head on top. Yeasty, hoppy, lemon aroma. Tastes similar, yeasty, lemon, hoppy, malty. Interesting.

Pale, cloudy yellow with lots of watery lace (my favorite). Unique in that its dominantly fruity -- pears, green apples, lemon -- yet also very dry, not at all sweet. Kind of like beers answer to champagne, but not as carbonated. A winner.

At Soba. Floral zasty lemon aroma. A slight bitterness from the hops. The lacing is perfect all the way down the glass.

Unclear golden yellow, big rocky white head slowly settles and lasts. Fruity, yeasty, wheat malt aroma. Fruity peppery spiced saison taste, lightly bitter lemony citrus hops. Lively carbonation, light bodied, lightly hopped. Clean dry finish, well made. LBW (Lagerboys Be Wary)

Keg at rake. Hazy golden with white head. Spicy peppery aroma with citrus zest, lemon, plasitic and bubblegum. Taste has disticnt sorachi ace turtle-wax bubblegum flavour, lemon and lime, honey, pepper. Slightly sweet with a nice finish. Interesting at first but enjoying the flavor less as I go on.
