Clear straw-gold with some motes of sediment and a voluminous, fizzing head. The carbonation is so active that you only have to glance at the glass, drum your fingers on the table, or accidentally breathe in its general direction for it to metastasize into a billowing, pint-enveloping mountain of bubbles. Once you tame the foam, you’re in for a clean aroma of hay and dried grass and lemon peels backed by the great citrusy spiciness of Sorachi Ace hops. Give it a swirl around your mouth and you’ll find a well-balanced combination of pale malts, mild yeast and bread notes, bright lemongrass, and the one-two punch of the spicy, bitter hops. It all finishes crisp and dry, leaving memories of the dancing, prickly carbonation on your tongue. This is a dangerously refreshing beer that you’ll be hesitant to share - after all, you’ve only got 750ml of it. garza (573) - Oslo (NO), Caracas (VE), VENEZUELA - NOV 15, 2012
Pours a dark golden look with a frothy and profuse white head foam. Subtle aroma with notes of citrus, pineapple, bananas and grass. Some hints of lemon and orange zest on the taste, lemongrass and spices. Medium sweetness, lightly bitter. Full body, creamy feel, soft carbonation and a dry finish. It’s a very good brew but I was expecting more taste or character. dresden (1581) - Saskatchewan, CANADA - NOV 7, 2012
Draft at easy tiger. Hazy golden pour. Lemony aroma, with some belgian yeast and pepper. Nice and smooth, with some farmhouse funkiness and peppery saison yeast. Definite lemon zest taste. Really nice. czar (9076) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 7, 2012
bottle shared and from VT, may thanks! cloudy pale golden with a frothy white head, good retention and lacing. crisp lightly toasted malts, wheat, flowery and very aromatic sorachi, woodiness, oranges, some dry caramel notes, coconut. light body - oily, fine champagne-like bubbles, very nice citrusy-herbal finish. hint of sweetness too - not a classic quenching saison with that sweetness and abv. original and very good though. 750 ml bottle shared with czar and friends. An orangeish golden, opaque ale with a persistent white head. Smell is orange, fruity, yeast and pine tree. Taste is fruits, oranges, old, dusty, barn, spices. Has a shot of bitterness in the finish, along with sweet caramel and a flavor that is likened to coconut or vanilla. Body is average, mouthfeel is soft, creamy. Carbonation is somewhat hard, yet very fine. Very solid saison, it was a true experience for tastebuds.

On draft at lost dig cafe in arlington Va. Pours an almost clear greenish yellow with a thick white head. Freshly squeezed lemon aroma. Cardoman and orange zest flavors. Very refreshing. barakihunter (187) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - NOV 3, 2012
Aroma is wea but there, a bit of lemon and pepper. Appearance is opaque yellow, not much head. Taste is corriander seed, dill, sweet and a little tart, but not much. Palate is bitter and oh so tart, it’s wonderful. A beautiful beer. Malty_MacHops (688) - Eastanollee, Georgia, USA - OCT 26, 2012
A decent saison. The nose is sweet malt with floral and citrus hop notes. Golden with a white tightly pack foam head. Sweet with balancing floral hops. Light to medium bodied with a tight bubble formation and a quick dry finish. greener69 (11) - Alexandria, Ohio, USA - OCT 20, 2012
Its hard to fit this beer into a category. Pours a great orange/copper color and its the palate with blenty of bright citrus. Pineapple, lemon and nectarine flavors are contrasted nicely with with a malty sweetness. Didn’t get a whole lot of barnyard funk typical of saisons. Good beer versatile with food pairings. Perfect with some spicy thai. Would like to see how else this hop could be utulized. gsmitty80 (2130) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 20, 2012
Hazy yellow pour with slight lacing and minimal head. Aroma is of hops and lemon. Good taste which finishes light and not too sticky.
