COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Sorachi Ace is a classic saison, a cracklingly dry, hoppy unfiltered golden farmhouse ale, but featuring rare Sorachi Ace hop.Fermented with our special Belgian ale strain, we add Sorachi Ace hops post-fermentation. After 100% bottle re-fermentation with Champagne yeast, the beer emerges with a bright spicy lemon zest aroma. It tastes like sunshine in a glass, and that suits us just fine, especially with seafood dishes and fresh cheeses.

Golden pour with a fizzy white head. Aroma is full of lemon zest and citrus with a little funk. Taste is crisp lemon, grass, and a little dank. Very dry on the palate with prickly carbonation. Really good.

Bread, dough, pear and lemongrass aromas. Less carbonation, black pepper and coriander than I prefer in a saision. BB date of May 8- I hadn’t had one in a while, not sure if it made a noticeable difference.

Hazy yella, little to no head. Fresh fruity minty citrus aroma. Dry bitterness, some citrus, refreshing. Finish is more bitter than the avg saison. Good one.

Pours a slightly hazy yellow in color with visible sediment and minimal white head. Aroma is full and refreshing wheat with belgian yeast and spiced pears. Flavor evokes more pear character with a light citrus bitterness.

Bottle from Beers of Europe, Kings Lynn. Pours pale gold with a small white head. Aroma of hop, caramel, fruit, malt and slightly herbal. Has a creamy medium sweetness and medium plus bitterness with just a hint of sour. Medium body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Distinct Sorachi Ace with a finish that is creamy bittersweet. Nice!

UPDATED: JUN 3, 2017 On tap at the Lamplighter in Vancouvers Gastown district. A pale amber slightly cloudy beer with a bit of white head and a sour fruity nose. Wow! The punchiest saison I’ve yet to try. Moderately sour, lots of fruit. Nice! 4

Note agrumes et fruitée type pêche et mangue ! Note houblon hyper fraîche .

Keg from Black Isle Bar, Inverness. Great hit of Belgian yeast and complex, hoppy notes in the aroma. The depth continues right through - lemongrass and pepper, citrus, grass. Really nice.

I don’t know if I got a bad or mishandled bottle, but this beer was somewhere between disappointing and disgusting. Poured deep yellow with a billowing, fluffy head that mushroomed out of the glass. Faint caramel and hot plastic aromas. Taste was sweetish with very light toffee/honeyed malt, butter bordering on cheese, and caramelly wood and sherry notes. I would swear it was an oak aged malt liquor. There was a "hot machine oil" character that reminded me of an elevator or subway station. No hops, Sorachi or otherwise, in nose, flavor, or finish. Likewise, no Belgian yeast character. Watery, bland mouthfeel.

On draft at iTAP. Citrus and wheat aroma, pours cloudy golden yellow with minimal head and minimal carbonation. Sorachi hops are unique - piney and sappy, finishes mildly sweet with honey aftertaste. Unique beer, easy enough to drink with a unique twist that keeps it interesting.
