COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Sorachi Ace is a classic saison, a cracklingly dry, hoppy unfiltered golden farmhouse ale, but featuring rare Sorachi Ace hop.Fermented with our special Belgian ale strain, we add Sorachi Ace hops post-fermentation. After 100% bottle re-fermentation with Champagne yeast, the beer emerges with a bright spicy lemon zest aroma. It tastes like sunshine in a glass, and that suits us just fine, especially with seafood dishes and fresh cheeses.

Poured into a tulip glass. Cloudy straw color with a finger and half of white head. Just wonderful looking. The smell is a super mix of malt candy and grapefruit and sharp lemon zest. Sharp bitterness from beginning to end; strong lemon and little lime. There’s a malt backbone there, but barely. It’s like drinking a cloud. It’s light and fluffy texture, medium carbonation. Incredible. An amazing drink, sipping on heaven.

Pale golden, hazy. Beautiful fruity aroma, tangerine. Sorachi Ace, definitely. Fairly sweet, a bit sour, fruity, spicy. Bitterness develops to pleasant dryness. An excellent combination. Solid mouthfeel. Excellent. One could get used to this beer very quickly.

Bottle. Pale gold in colour, with a decently-sized, white, head. Light grains, floral hops yeasty, stone fruits, a touch of lemon sharpness, leading to a dryish finish. Good.

Very nice farm house ale, pleasant malty body with a lot of complex flavours in the body. The sorachi hops have a presence but are a bit mild. A very good well balanced beer. Not a mind blower for me but a solid brew.

UPDATED: DEC 2, 2017 On tap at ITAP Xroads Aroma 9/10: very bright aroma with lemon on the forefront. Appearance 4/5: bright gold color with a sticky white head. Palate 4/5: Solid carbonation and relatively dry finish. Taste 9/10: Fantastic blend of yeasty goodness and bright citrus flavors. Not really traditional, but I dig it. Overall 18/20: Far from a traditional saison, but an excellent beer all the same. 4.4

Pours hazy hazy gold with a short bubbly white head. Aroma is grassy, lemon, yeast ester. Sparkly mouthfeel and a taste that follows the aroma but with a balanced hoppy bitterness and a semi sweet linger. A bit of funk throughout. I am not a big saison drinker, but this is a good one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
