Brooklyn Sorachi Ace is a classic saison, a cracklingly dry, hoppy unfiltered golden farmhouse ale, but featuring rare Sorachi Ace hop.Fermented with our special Belgian ale strain, we add Sorachi Ace hops post-fermentation. After 100% bottle re-fermentation with Champagne yeast, the beer emerges with a bright spicy lemon zest aroma. It tastes like sunshine in a glass, and that suits us just fine, especially with seafood dishes and fresh cheeses.

750 ml corked and caged bottle courtesy of Doodler poured a clear yellow with a lasting white head. Aromas of straw, lemon zest and light spice. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of straw, crackers, lemon zest and light spice with a crisp dry lingering lemon finish.

(draft) Medium white head that leaves nice lacing atop lightly hazed apple juice body. Aroma is medium sweet, sage, ginger, light lemon. Taste is medium sweet, spice, some sage, light ginger, pepper. Light-medium body, fairly crisp especially given the ABV. Alcohol near invisible.

Draft - Bright white fruits on the nose and a yeasty sweetness. Cloudy orange/yellow with a thin head. Tastes of citrus, peach and grass. The high carbonation actually goes well with this style and would be my beer answer to the Mamosa. Very dry but refreshing and nice.

Keg at Mother Kellys. It pours clear golden with a decent white head. The nose is big sorachi....bubblegum, fennel, aniseed, coconut and plenty of heady herbal notes. The taste is crisp, bitter, lemon sherbet, herbal, grassy, aniseed and citrus peel with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Too much sorachi for me...

Hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma dominated by this very unique hop, herbal, spicy, pine and citrus, but most dominant is mediterranean herbs. Dry and herbal flavour with a bitter finish. Provence in a bottle. Must be the ideal beer for mediterranean cuisine.
