COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brooklyn Sorachi Ace is a classic saison, a cracklingly dry, hoppy unfiltered golden farmhouse ale, but featuring rare Sorachi Ace hop.Fermented with our special Belgian ale strain, we add Sorachi Ace hops post-fermentation. After 100% bottle re-fermentation with Champagne yeast, the beer emerges with a bright spicy lemon zest aroma. It tastes like sunshine in a glass, and that suits us just fine, especially with seafood dishes and fresh cheeses.

Bottle. The pour was a cloudy golden yellow with a large (2-3 finger) white fluffy head that reduced down to a medium cap and had excellent sheets of lacing. The aroma was of a light grain malt, floral and grassy hops and a funky Belgian yeast with notes of citrus (lemon), green apple, and a bit of spice. The taste was lightly sweet and rather creamy with a hint of citrus, and a mild fruity ester from the onset, progressing into a mild bitter yeasty taste with a light spicy finish. The flavor stuck around for a little while with the spicy fruity taste left lying on the taste buds. Mouthfeel was light in body with a creamy and slightly dry texture and a mild carbonation. Overall a nice crisp tasting brew with all components working harmoniously together, which did a great job of concealing the somewhat high ABV making this one very enjoyable drinking experience...

Bottle from SAQ A: nice citrusy highlights, with fresh herbs, peppery, spicy. App: clear golden with thick lasting white head. Great lacing T/p: med body with light acidic finish. Moderate high carbonation. O: I usually despite 750 ml bottle cause I easily get bored by a beer. Not this time, Im in for a treat. Super drinkable and fun to sniff. Im about to start stirring a risotto, Im in good company.

750 mL. Heres one I cant believe I havent rated yet. This is an amazing saison in its own regard, let alone the very smart addition of Sorachi Ace. The beer is cloudy copper with a giant mountain of a head. It pours and looks like a real, classic beer from Belgium. Very pungent Sorachi Ace in the nose with bit dill and lemon. Peppery notes from the yeast compliment this perfectly with a crackery malt bill. The mouthfeel is extra dry and very effervescent, though still noticeably creamy. Huge dill flavor again but with very pleasant yeast notes of fruits and pepper. Complex, ridiculously tasty, unique, and very well made.

Keg Half Pint at White Horse American Beer Festival 2015, Parsons Green, London in July 2015 - Hazy Orange Gold in colour. Medium head. Good lacing. Fruity; tangy lemon citrus. Spicy. Yeasty. Hoppy; earthy and herbal hops. Malty; sweet malts. Deceptively smooth and easy drinking. Good fruit/hops/malt balance. Sweet-bitter fruity spicy yeasty and dry throughout. Liked this. Nice lemony saison! (2015-07-02)

Bonne Saison bien en crales qui tait meilleure une fois un peu rchauffe... Le nez me rappelait surtout le citron et laneth, sans toutefois me sembler frache.

750 ml bottle purchased at the Boisbriand SAQ on December 22, 2016. Light gold, big head. Sweet hoppy barley and rye aroma, a bit dry. Very dry hoppy taste, some semi sweet cereal and not that refreshing, mild bitterness. its a OK saison, not the way I wanted to and the year!

DATE: December 29, 2016... OCCASION: Having finished a monster game of LOTR Risk with Will and Michael, its time to unwind... GLASSWARE: Corsendonk tulip pokal... slightly hazy, uber-active, swirling body of bubbles... head thickens in snowy sheets all around the glass, caking to tall icebergs--looks imperious... body is yellow gold... first hit is a wondrously aromatic cologne-like citrus, with the secondary accents of hay, lemon grass, pepper, leather, and sharp cheddar... complex and alluring.... the first sip is soft, almost soapy, with a lingering presence at its end... light-bodied, champagne-like yet not as bubbly, with a nice arrival at the teeth... in a word or two, unbelievably drinkable at 7.2%... apple, lemon, bubble gum, spicy cheese, subtle funk, some dry white grape, and slight graininess... quite a peaceful way to deliver the goods, with every category exhibiting strength and quality... a win for Brooklyn, and a great start to sampling their box set...
