Brooklyn Summer Ale is a modern rendition of the "Light Dinner Ales" brewed in England throughout the 1800's right up until the 1940's. They were also called "luncheon ales" or even "family ales", because they were refreshing and flavorful without being too heavy. We brew our Brooklyn Summer Ale from premium English barley malt, which gives this light-bodied golden beer a fresh bready flavor. German and American hops lend a light, crisp bitterness and a citrus/floral aroma resulting in a beer with a very sunny disposition. FOOD PAIRING Excellent with salads, seafood, quiches, and lightly spicy dishes. It's also great at a brunch. SPECS Style: English Style Light Dinner Ale Malts: Two Row British Malts Hops: German Perle and American Cascade, Fuggle, and Amarillo Alcohol: 4.5% by volume Original Gravity: 11 Plato

I can appreciate a lighter ale now and then, especially during warm weather. However light it may be, it still needs to have some redemptive characteristics. I was unable to find any in this ale, as the aroma and taste left a lot to be desired. Slightly better than an adjunct inclusive macro lager, if thats what youre after. Another lame brew from the East coast.

From bottle at Bergen Airport Flesland with KL 31.10.16. Clear golden. Off-white head diminishing to nothing. Taste of pale malt and American hops. Perhaps slightly metallic. Decent, but boring.

Voila une biere de bbq par excellence car cote degustation cest tout de meme pas top. Blonde paille, petite carbo, petit collet. Aromes herbeux, floral. Mince, courte, a peine seche, sur le mais et pointe de miel.

I bought this bottle at Paris, in a monoprix. I drank it yesterday at home with a delicious meal. It is a regular pils/lager, not the best but decent. The body is yellow, creamy and troubled, low carbonation for the style, thin and white foam. The taste is watery, malt, decent hop and the final is in the mouth sweet. It is important to drink it cold.

Golden with a lasting white head. Fruity aroma with winegum, a herbal and spicy touch and a touch of bready malt. Dry and thin malty and fruity flavour.
