Bottle @ home. Thanks Armin! A touch dull orange appearance with a white head. Rich orange/lemon citrusy, white grape, rich wheat malty, somewhat spicy aroma. Pretty rich, big grape, apricot, orange citrusy, tangy, rich malty flavor. Pretty fruity flavor that’s not typical of many barley wines but is nice nonetheless. Very smooth for 10%. beernovice39 (3270) - Idaho, USA - FEB 23, 2012

Tap. Pours clear amber with thin, creamy white head; short retention and spare lacing. Aroma is honey, fruit, biscuit and sweet malts, grassy hops, and slight booze. Flavor is malt forward, faint hops, medium esters; malty finish. Medium body, low carbonation, and high warmth. lithy (2996) - Capital of Appalachia, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 18, 2012
Light yellow. Aroma is spicy, honey, thin wheat. Taste is the same. This is just not a style I can get behind yet. pushkinwow (2889) - Ottawa, CANADA - FEB 5, 2012
On tap at the Parker Pie Company. Dark amber with off white head. Wheat, alcohol, sauvignon blanc, light malt, some barley. Moderate carbonation, light body, prickly, sweet with a bit of odd tartness, also some anise and an odd but hard to identify after taste.

Growler. Pours clear, bright orange, with a small light tan head. Aromas of cherry, grass, honey, mild bubblegum, wheat, and caramel. The flavor is mild caramel and slight buttery cherry; some bitter grass, plenty of malt, and some hot alcohol in the finish. Light buttery aftertaste. Good. gnoff (10859) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - FEB 2, 2012

Clear pale golden color, white head. Sweet, apple, alcohol, hints of almond paste. Smooth mouthfeel, medium bitterness. Gut warming alcohol. Sweet, dried dark fruits, dates, alcohol scent.
(sample at the 2012 Boston Beer Summit Winter Jubilee) really a wheat wine not a barley wine. I’m not a huge wheat beer fan, but this was excellent. Deep gold/amber with white head. Wheat/yeast aroma. Rich malt/yeast flavors with Belgian yeast. Dry finish. There was some flavor I couldn’t quite identify that really nailed it. jstraw (1967) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 27, 2012
Draft at Jerry’s. Golden with fair, creamy, white head / Clean, resinous, almost medicinal, nose / Medium to full body, hint of sweetness, grain-lager character, with moderately dry, hot, finish / Chemical flavors of smoke, grain, resin, and honey / Poor. Drinks more like an imperial pils. jeff789 (1408) - West Chester, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 24, 2012
Fairly clear golden amber with small white head leaves minor lacing.... Sweet dry spicy aroma, reminds me more of a Belgian strong golden than a barley wine... Dry strong medium full bodied, a little anise, alcohol aroma and taste, light vanilla kinda bland alc is present
