UPDATED: AUG 14, 2015 Fruity aroma. Nuts, dark fruit, liquorice and raisins. Flavor has raisins, brown sugar, and candysirup. Delicious quad. If it was a blind test i would not hold anything against this beer against a true belgian quad. Nice and effervescent with a dry, but lingering finish. Very, very good.

Bottle at Piccadilly, Bodø. Pours a deep reddish brown color with a big light brown head. Has a nice aroma of dried fruit, brown sugar, leather, cocoa, wild berries and some alcohol. The flavor is pretty sweet with toffee, raisins, alcohol, leather and oak. Full-bodied, slick and soft mouth feel, and has a light bitterness. A great and fruity quad. Will get better with aging.

750 ml corked & caged brown bottle, from the Norwegian importer. ABV is 10.1%. Very dark brown colour, nearly black. Large beige head. Pleasant aroma of brown malts, brown kandij sugar and mild spices, including a hint of anise. Malty and medium sweet flavour, again notes of brown kandij sugar, warming alcohol and warming spices. Good beer.
