Hazy amber color with a small, off white head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of vanilla, bourbon, brett, pineapple, citrus, and alcohol. Taste of toffee, light spices, vanilla, light bourbon, with some tartness, and a bit of alcohol in the finish. Rciesla (5499) - Exit 15W, New Jersey, USA - MAR 22, 2011
Bottle. Pours a golden body with a white head and light retention. Light honey and vanilla tones. Oak and leather white hints of etoh warming. Light bourbon apricots, and a wood y and vanilla finish. Nice offering. Dickinsonbeer (5074) - Hoboken, New Jersey, USA - AUG 12, 2009
Split the last bottle over at Spuyten last night with PilsnerPeter. Thanks Peter for arranging this. I actually liked this beer quite a bit. Pours a nice slightly hazed golden with a nice fluffy white head and good lace. Aroma is vanilla, oaky woodiness, toasted malts, bready dough, light to moderate bourbon- more straight oak mixed with Belgian yeasty phenols- definitely no diacetyl in our bottle. Flavor is doughy phenolic, light fruity esters, toasted malts, fresh, woody bourbon, vanilla, and light char- smooth and full mouth feel that dries out a bit in the end. I love Local 1 and the bourbon barrel was very subtle so I really dug this beer. michael-pollack (4959) - King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 26, 2009
750ml Bottle: Aroma of Brett, oak, and bourbon. Poured amber/gold in color with a small, white head that lasted throughout. Cloudy. Sparkling. Flavor is medium sweet and lightly bitter. Tastes of bourbon, oak, and Brett. Medium body. Dry texture. Average to lively carbonation. Bourbon, Brett, and oak finish is dry. Tons of Brett throughout. 9%ABV is noticeable from the bourbon but not hot or overwhelming.

Fantastic. Pours a cloudy orange with a dense white head. Complex nose of bourbon, ginger, cloves and zesty citrus. Sweet vanilla and light sourness combine perfectly. Great beer NobleSquirrel (3438) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - AUG 3, 2010
Bottle at Hopcat, opened for a handful of us at the bar during RBSG. Pours a murky gold with a fizzy head. Nose is immediately vanilla bourbon, tropical Brett notes, funk. Also get some marshmallow and herbal notes. On taste, round body the has a prickly-ness coming across. A lot of Bourbon competing with the mild Brett notes. Some light candi sugar and more tropical fruit. Finishes dry. Interesting. dnstone (3418) - Las Vegas, Nevada, USA - DEC 26, 2009
Light brett aroma with a bit of orangey citrus. Hazy gold color. Sweet, like a Belgian gold with a citrusy quality but not sour; woody with a brett/Belgian finish.

Bottle at Spuyten Brett Fest. A horrid wretch of a beer, a complete and utter butter bomb, slightly congealed and rancid. The aroma induces fear all across my body and mild convulsions in my throat — a sure fire sign that I should not drink it. But I trudge on, pouring this evil concoction down my gullet in a most inglorious fashion. This so-called "beer" would be best used as a lobster dip, or perhaps as a spread on a nice toasted bagel — I have little doubt that it would solidify at colder temperatures.
