COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
There was a time when all beers were aged in wood and yeasts ran wild and converted together. Modern brewing is wonderful, but sometimes a little converting is a fine thing. Brooklyn Wild Streak is our barrel-aged Belgian-inspired golden ale enlivened by the earthy funk of wild yeast called Brettanomyces. It’s particurly great with cheeses and game meats. Oh, go ahead. You know you want to.

Svesse (8732) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - JUN 16, 2017
(Bottle) Hazy, golden amber colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, slightly sourish nose with dried fruit, grapefruit, green grapes, apple juice, bourbon wood and hints of glue. Malty, fruity taste with notes of tropical fruit, grapefruit, apple juice, oak wood, bourbon, mandarin and a finish with a balanced spicy bitterness and a warming alcohol glow. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Some barnyard and stable, but not really funky, more like a French farmhouse cider. A bit boozy and unbalanced, but tasty and fairly interesting. Quite nice.

SG111 (1974) - New York, USA - FEB 27, 2017
Bottled at Clubhouse BFD event. Pours clear yellow, white head. Aroma is apple juice, Belgian spice (minimal), pear, light tart notes. Flavor is bad apple juice, tart notes, flat bottle of sprite. Oh wow, that’s bad. Straight up bad. No.

pushkinwow (2888) - Ottawa, CANADA - JAN 15, 2017
Bottle opened up at the 2016 Ottawa Year-end Gathering. Light mahogany with a thin off white head film. Interesting mash up for sure with some bourbon and oak, funk and then more sour, some straw and roasted caramel with a bit of yeast. High carbonation and full body, booze comes through more on the palate and almost smooths out some of the sharper edges. Interesting.

Boutip (6486) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 31, 2016
Bottle: Poured a light golden color ale with a medium foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light funky notes with some residual sugar notes is so-so. Taste is a mix of hints of bourbon and some residual sugar notes with some tartness. Body is about average with medium carbonation. Weird flavours and lack cohesion.

Hazy amber color, moderate head, decent lace/retention. Aroma is bourbon vanilla sweetness with notes of toast, bread, alcohol. Medium bodied, moderately alcoholic, barrel flavor dominates. It’s kind of ok, except at the price tag.
