Pours a thin lacey head, light and malty, but undeveloped. Spicey notes fade into a smooth clean finish. Tasty, but a pretty tpyical lager.

Familiar toffee from Maris malts; perhaps raisins a slightly toasty, slightly herby quality. Smooth, clean body – surprised this has no wheat in it. Mild bitterness; feels a little hollow for a winter beer; slightly sweet end (like Nutella) - and just a hint of speculoos mild ginger biscuit. Altogether bready. Very bready. On tap @ Linko, Helsinki. Pours fairly clear copper with a medium-sized, dense head with good retention. The aroma features toasty, nutty maltiness with a touch of dark fruitiness. Taste is medium sweet, containing mostly malty notes but with some fruitiness also appearing; bread, nuts, raisin. The palate is medium-bodied and very smooth. Mild hoppiness. Tap at Henry’s Pub Helsinki. Creamy beige head, dark amber colour. Aroma has caramel, malts, some notes of hops. Light bodied, bit watery. Medium to heavy sweetness, really light bitterness.

Appearance: Pours a clear, reddish-mahogany with a modest and short-lived off-white head. Light lacing.
Smell: Subtle aroma of caramel malt and brown sugar with vague grain backdrop. Stronger and more appealing with some warming.
Taste: A nice, if rather simple, malty flavor. Hints of caramel, brown sugar, and multi-grain bread. A subtle hop contribution that’s lightly spicy and woody with a mild bitterness.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Smooth. Well-chosen medium carbonation. Slightly dry finish.
O: A well-crafted brew that seems reasonable to label "Winter Ale", but that veers from typical Scottish Ale in the direction of a brown ale. Fine session beer, if the 6% ABV is kept in mind. jpkeskinen (512) - FINLAND - JAN 22, 2016

Clear copper to mahogany beer with blonde head dissolving soon leaving a ring. Aroma has caramel and vanilla. Flavor ads some sweet berry jam. Medium and slick palate with quite strong carbonation. Finish has mild bitterness. Aftertaste has spices, vanilla and caramel. Finally a Scottish Ale tick, and all RB style ticks. What an unsurprising beer, what an unneeded beer style.
