Draft - Berry boozy fruitiness. Light clear orange. Sour berries, Apple notes and fruity notes. FROTHINGSLOSH (8069) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - MAY 27, 2016
Sampled on draft at the meadery this mead poured a dark caramel color. The aroma was sweet with tannin, pie crust and vague fruits. The flavor was tannin with tart notes of apple, pear and maybe berry. Long finish with lingering tannin. Moderately full bodied. Disappointing. Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - OCT 7, 2015
this one missed the mark for me, odd dirty earthy leather flavor is dominate throughout, some cherry and grape type flavors in the background, then just base mead sweetness phaleslu (10553) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 27, 2014
Pour at Brothers Drake, served in a tulip. Pours a clear rose color. The cherry, marionberry, and raspberry come forward in a big way in the aroma, offset by very light honey and wildflowers. The berries also start the flavor, which isn’t as balanced. Everything dries up on the palate very quickly. Light in body, very dry. Good mead, but left me wanting.

750 ml bottle to taster at the meadery (2012 vintage). Looks good; a still, transparent watermelon Jolly Rancher color. Smells of good honey with notes of cherries and raspberries. Tastes like it smells, but not as robust. Solid on the palate with a bit of tartness. Enjoyable. DrSilverworm (9671) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - APR 26, 2014
Taste at Brothers Drake from a 750ml bottle. Bottle says nothing of "semi-sweet" nor "dry", but the batch number on the bottle is "5-12". Bartender was saying recent batches have been dry though so b3shine and I decided to log our rates under this entry, despite no explicit marketing about dry vs semi sweet. Perfectly clear red orange color, slightly pink. Honey, some cherry in the nose; light warmth. Awesome, floral, kind of perfumey nose. Nice light heat in the nose works well to wring out the aromas. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Moderate sweet taste, lightly tart. Medium to bigger body. Smooth, very light (if any) carbonation; great smooth texture. Like all the Brothers Drake meads, this hides alcohol reasonably well. Some good watermolon, light cherry, mildly spicy light raspberry notes to it. Fantastic mead. mikesaum (711) - Newark, Ohio, USA - DEC 25, 2013
Pours a very nice red, decent legs with a swirl. Aroma is light cherry, floral, various berries. Taste is floral with light honey and raspberry more than cherry, a little tart and more dry than i like. Its a good mead, but I’m just not a huge fan of dry meads. jsquire (4570) - St. Marys, Ohio, USA - SEP 16, 2012
Crystal clear ruby red mead. Still. Fruity nose of cherry and cranberry. Taste of cherry jelly, berry sweet tarts and honey sweetness. Very pretty and very tastey. Skyview (6093) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - JUN 7, 2012
On draught pour at the meadery bar in Columbus, Ohio. Pours a clear raspberry rosé juice mead with a clean disk top and thin foam bubbled on edge. Aroma of dry yeast, some rose pedal, black raspberry and a hint of honey. Taste is light bodied, definitely no raspberry extract but real raspberry fruit, mild tannins and light honey. Finish is semi-dry, light berry fruit aftertaste, the a crisp faint yeast flavor. Overall, a light dry mead with a hint of black raspberry flavor.
