A red-brown beer with a disappearing brown head. The aroma is sweet roasted combined with notes of nuts as well as hints of alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, and nuts leading to a slightly dry end. Oakes (18472) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 16, 2005
Dark browncolour. Aroma of peanuts, almonds. Medium body. Nutty flavours...ok so it’s well named. Straightforward, erring to the robust side of the style. Lubiere (14133) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 9, 2006
Dark mahogany brown, clear, with a thin off-whte head, lacing. A nice nutty malt aroma comes out with light floral hops. Light nutty taste, with peaty notes, and smooth bitterness. Oily mouthfeel. Summer 2005, on tap. MartinT (10037) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 31, 2008
My Bottom Line:TaktikMTL (7921) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 11, 2005
Soft roasted chestnuts and subtle wooden hoppiness delineate this straightforward and mostly malty Brown Ale.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam protects the hazy brown.
-Cherry pit esters appear in the nose once in a while.
-The prickly effervescence increases drinkability, but might get in the way of the flavor profile at times.
-The mouthfeel is vigorous and enjoyable.
-A little more malt tightness and complexity would make it even more satisfying.
-This is another quality session beer from Brouemont.
On tap at Festival Bières et Saveurs.

Rastacouere (6177) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 28, 2005
A well-laced off-white head tops the ruby-brown body. The nose is sweet and nutty, reminiscent of a good brownie with genuine coffee undertones. Dryish and rocky in mouth, hoppier than expected, but the dry chocolate and marshmallows flavors don’t fail to impress. Nutty, rooty, woody finish, dry and satisfying, but the body feels a bit thin. tiggmtl (4544) - East York, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 19, 2005
Mild nutty, grainy, chocolate aroma is pleasant and draws you in. Dark mahogany brown with a finger wide, dense and lasting cover of off-white head that leaves some lace down the sides of the glass. Nutty in character with chocolate and licorice tones and a lingering sweetness in the aftertaste. Mildly roasty finishing bitterness takes the edge off. Medium body with fair to decent carbonation and creamy smooth texture. Enjoyed on tap at the brewpub with Oakes, Rastacouere, St-Eric and Ungstrup. beerbuzzmontreal (3487) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 8, 2005
Pours a clear reddish brown color with a thin offwhite head. Aroma of nuts and malt. Good flavor of nuts, smoked malt and toffee with a bitter finish. The body is light with a dry texture and medium carbonation. Sigh, if only all brown ales would be like this one ... rederic (3341) - montréal, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 30, 2007
Hazy amber hue, ith a creamy beige head, nutty toasted malt nose, with a faint floral hops note in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a sweet toasted malt character, a some nutty, toffeeish and grainy accents, leading towards floral hops, malty sweet finish.
