Clear medium yellow color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, fruity, pale malt, grass notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration, fruity, grass, pale malt, light biscuit malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat.
Cask at the Hogshead Wolves. Almost house beer this. Broughs is a top brewery and this is a good Black Country style creamy beer.deep golden with a good creamy white head, sweet dry finish and very drinkable. BlackHaddock (7232) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - NOV 1, 2013
Gravity poured half-pint at The Birmingham CAMRA Beer Festival on 30 Oct 2013.
Light golden brew with a full, but thinning white crown.
Slightly more maltiness in the aroma and taste than there were hop notes: mild caramel biscuit feel overall. Delicate rather than robust, the flavours don’t rush at you, they just trickle out slowly, which is a shame because I drank this fairly swiftly and maybe missed something.
OK and easy to drink.
