Bottle as Marks & Spencer Organic Ale. Golden colour, medium white head. This is a great beer! Aroma is fresh hoppy, with fruits and spices. Flavour has sweet hops, lots of yeast, fruits and spices, with a solid malty backbone. Creamy and soft, tartness. Medium carbonated. Much like a Belgian ale. Well done. 500ml bottle as Marks & Spencer Organic Ale, purchased at a M&S store in Edinburgh. Golden brown body. Fast fading white head. Smooth smell of dried fruits and caramel malts. Some sweet marmalade in flavour with weak bitter ending. Foamy and quite fizzy in the mouth. Medium bodied [I finally managed to establish the identity of this one, which I consumed at our hotel room in Edinburgh,15.11.2008].

Bottled. A mid gold coloured beer with a sticky patchy off-white head. Soap, malt and perfumed hops in the nose. Tastes a little oxidized and has cardboard and damp carpet. Sweet with thickness in the body. A little sickly. downender (8658) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - AUG 2, 2008
Bought as M&S Organic Ale. Amber coloured with a big, frothy off-white head that proved short-lived. Aroma of floral hops and orange fruit. Flavour of earthy malt, marmalade and peppery hops, with a moderately bitter finish. Fine. kmacphail (37) - Isle of Lewis, SCOTLAND - JUL 16, 2008
Quite a surprisingly pleasant beer, sampled as Marks & Spencer Organic ale. It poured a light colour with a larger slightly off white head. The nose was fresh and with a combination of hops with a light, sweet fruitiness. This continued through to the mouth; a nice balance that left a clean crisp taste with a slight note of lingering hops. Not the greatest beer on the planet but fine for a hot summers day. fonefan (49293) - VestJylland, DENMARK - JUL 14, 2008
