COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle; Pasteurised.
This exciting beer is a blend of a strong ale and a porter style beer each brewed in their own way, but married together in a conditioning tank to produce an interesting mix of flavour and aroma.
Major ingredients are:-
Optic Pale Ale Malt, Crystal Malt, Black Malt and pinhead oats. Hops used are English grown Challenger, Fuggles and First Gold

Bottle 500ml. Pours a dark brown color with a small beige head that leaves lacing. Low carbonation. Aroma of roasted malts, dark bitter chocolate. Taste is malty, coffee, dark fruits and some hops. A little bitterness in the aftertaste.

(on bottle) Soft cake/bread sweet aroma. Very low carbonation, gerts dryer until a chocolateish finish. Coffeebean to the finish, lingers nicely.

3rd January 2009. Very dark brown clear ale. Not much of a head, low carbonation. Rich toffee malt with a hint of chocolate and a sublte hine of smoke. Smooth palate. Not bitter or dry.

AROMA: hay, citrus, leather,
APPEARANCE: brown, clear, poors with a frothy head, which dissappears in seconds
TASTE: medium sweetness, medium bitterness, lightly sour
PALATE: full body, sticky, lively, long finish, bitter

Not a bad beer, but just not to my taste. Strange combination of chocolate sweetness with bitterness.

Bottle from Tbone, thanks! Dark brown color. Malt, raisin, caramel and milk chocolate in the aroma. Sweet raisinny caramelly flavor. Pear. Sticky mouthfeel. Not unpleasant.

Small beige head. Some carbonation. Fruity aroma. Dark smooth on the palate and a little fruity with some bitterness in a crisp full malt finish.

Dark red-brown, coca cola colored with medium sized light brown head. Perfumy licoricy aroma with syrupy note, some bitterness also here. Medium bodied. Flavor is similar with more lemon, licorice and syrupy also here. Lemon in somehow skunky aftertaste. Not a good beer.

A bottle from Alko shop. Beige head. Dark reddish black colour. Syropy nose. Malty taste. Slight hoppiness at the end.. Some hints of prunes and raisins. Slightly sour not sweet taste.
