COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle; Pasteurised.
This exciting beer is a blend of a strong ale and a porter style beer each brewed in their own way, but married together in a conditioning tank to produce an interesting mix of flavour and aroma.
Major ingredients are:-
Optic Pale Ale Malt, Crystal Malt, Black Malt and pinhead oats. Hops used are English grown Challenger, Fuggles and First Gold

A bottle from Alko shop. Beige head. Dark reddish black colour. Syropy nose. Malty taste. Slight hoppiness at the end.. Some hints of prunes and raisins. Slightly sour not sweet taste.

3rd January 2009. Very dark brown clear ale. Not much of a head, low carbonation. Rich toffee malt with a hint of chocolate and a sublte hine of smoke. Smooth palate. Not bitter or dry.

Bottle from Tesco. Deep ruby brown, good lasting pale beige head and gentle condition. Pleasant sweet toffee roasted notes and smokiness in the nose, gentle sweet burnt toffee and low smokiness in the mouth but becoming oversweet and slightly cloying with time, sweet roasted earthiness and faint bitter edge in the finish but ultimately a little over balanced towards sweetness.

Bottle 0,5l bought at Tesco Kensington Feb 08. Dark brown - almost black colored. A large creamy head when poured from a distance. Pleasant aroma of roasted malt & coffee. Well rounded roasted impression. Sweet bitter finish.
