COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Status uncertain. Watch out for this evil character… Borders legends say the Dunter, a malevolent red-capped goblin, inhabits ruined castles and guards the English-Scottish borders from intruders. This evil creature is impossible to outrun, but we like to think he’ll let you pass if you have share a wee dram of his potion. The truth of this legend will never be known, however, it is irrefutable that the Dark Dunter is bursting of oatmeal and chocolate aromas, complemented by dark roasted malts and a rich aftertaste. Using over six grains gives this beer an evil malty bite.

Cask, Slug & Lettuce, Leicester. Aromas are dark syrup and toffee with earthy, herbal notes and hints of barnyard. Lightly smoky with brown sugar. Flavours are weetabix and toffee with raisins and damp florals notes. A bit flat and sweet for me.

Bottle at hotel in Peebles. Aroma of burnt malt and sour mash, but not too strong. Light in mouth, goes down smoothly. Quite refreshing for the style and nice depth of flavour for the ABV. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A malty and light sweet aroma, a little bit alcoholic, some coffee. The pale beige creamy head has a normal size, the body is nearly black. A malty and light bitter taste, coffee during the finish with a little bit of acidic. The body is medium strong, creamy and fizzy with a lively carbonation.

Draft at Edinburgh airport Wetherspoons. Light bitterness but quite heavy body. This was surprisingly lacking in flavour but easy to knock back. Needs more depth.

Idiosynkrasie (7533) - Bielefeld, GERMANY - JUN 25, 2016
500ml bottle. Clear, dark brown colour with average to huge, frothy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, beige head. Dusty, roasty dark malty aroma, grainy hints of coffee, very cautious hints of dark berries. Taste is roasty dark malty, hints of treacle, chocolate, a touch of liquorice; slightly artificially sweetness.
