COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle; Pasteurised.
Sometimes known as Kinmount Willie Oatmeal Stout in the US.
Brewed to the exacting standards of Robert Younger, great grandfather of the founder of Broughton brewery. This rich stout is bursting with the flavours of roasted barley and black malt. The excellent hop bitterness is offset by the silky mouth feel of oats.
Major ingredients are:-
Optic Pale Ale Malt, Black Malt, Roasted Barley, Pinhead Oats. Hops used are English grown Fuggles, First Gold and Challenger.

Bottle. Dark Brown (Coke-like) in colour. Malty; roast malts, oatmeal, liquorice, caramel, hint of chocolate. Slightly smoky flavour. Hoppy; lightly hopped. Sweetish malty throughout. OK. (2009-04)

Er lidt skuffet over denne øl. Jeg forventer lidt mere smag af en oatmeal stout. Den har smagen af oatmeal, den er lidt syrlig og brændt smag, men jeg synes der mangler noget.

Bottle. This is a pretty straight forwar stout without too much going on. Not bad though.

12 oz. bottle under the name of Kinmount Willie. Pours dark brown in color with a medium sized beige head that lasted. The aroma and flavor had dark and milk chocolate, dark fruits and light roast. Medium body with smooth mouth feel. Just a bit thin and watery.

Bottle. Pours a clear dark brown body under a small fizzy light brown head that faded to a wispy film. The nose is lightly roasty with some coffee and tobacco along with a moderate caramel sweetness. The flavor is a little off for me, there’s a heavy toffee and caramel sweetness that pervades the roast that I want from a Stout. Minimal to no bitterness present, I suppose this is attempting to be a mix of a Scotch Ale and a Stout, but that combo just doesn’t do it for me. Medium bodied with a touch of clingy sweetness and a soft fizzy carbonation level. Meh, think I’d pass on a second go around with this one.

Very black stout, no head. Small roasted aroma but with minimum flavour, however it is certainly a drinkable session ale.

Bottiglia. Interpretazione scozzese di una oatmeal stout, color rubino/marrone intenso, retrogusto di caffè e di torrefatto, leggermente troppo frizzante per il genere ma nel complesso buona e beverina
