RATINGS: 60   WEIGHTED AVG: 3.34/5   EST. CALORIES: 195   ABV: 6.5%
We use only imported Belgian malt, German noble hops and our brouwerij west yeast. We chose not to duplicate the standard "peppery/spicy" saison profile and instead go after bubble gum esters and noble hop aroma. Extra is Bright and malty, with a firm bitterness and a dry finish. Hazy gold in color. 6.5% ALC/VOL and of course no spices added.

First things first. This gets WAY better as it warms. Initially wasn’t even decent but as it warmed up notes of pineapple bubble gum and cotton candy hit the nose and palate. A sweet take on the saison and certainly not traditional but easy drinking and nice. Would buy again.

Poured from a can. Fairly clear gold. Huge head. Very foamy. Yeasty aroma. Rotten banana taste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(Cannette à 6%): Une bouquet d’épices important mais cohérent dans une base biscuitée machable. C’est assez fruité, moyennement sucré, peu carbonaté et empreint d’une moelleuse acidité.

Bottle - gold pour with a fairly frothy lace - I was excited to see they went for a pure and simple recipe, but their desire to focus on bubblegum esters is a little disappointing - they certainly got what they were going for - starts a little sweet, with moderate bubblegm esters - thankfully, these subside through the middle and it dries out a bit, bringing a nice noble hop profile and slightly peppery phenolics - I like it okay, but the focus in the aroma and flavor profile are not what I typically like in the style.

pours clear and bright gold with a very nice creamy white head offering good retention and lacing. orchard fruitiness - some almost rotten notes though; dusty white grapes, very spicy and peppery, bitter herbs - some astringency. light carbonation, light to medium body; drying herbal-spicy-peppery finish. o-k.

Pours golden yellow with a thin wispy white head. Aroma is earthy, pear, bubblegum and hint of floral. Taste is sweet with a touch of tartness, none of the usual spicy saison characteristics. Medium bodied with a dry clean finish.

bottle, wasnt so crazy about this. liked most of their other beers though, amberish pour, cereal, noble hops, light bubblegum. OK

ilovedarkbeer (2748) - Arlington, Virginia, USA - AUG 28, 2014
Pours a hazy golden color with a small lacy off white head. Notes of milk chocolate and bubblegum, honey, and clover. Highly carbonated mouthfeel.

Aroma - bready, yeasty. Citrus hop notes secondary. Straw color with some haze. Bitter taste. Not sweet. No floral notes when tasting. I dig it.
