COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Initially only available on draft. Draft version brewed in Irvine, bottled version brewed in San Jose.

Our Tripel pours a hazy deep gold with a creamy head. Upfront aromas of fresh plums, orange, white flowers and a hint of hay evolve into aromas of caramel malt and cola as the glass warms. A very balanced flavor profile and a creamy mouthfeel lead into a light malt sweetness with a final transition into a hint of warming alcohol and soft drying bitterness.

Pours a hearty hazy golden with a bout a finger of eggshell head that settles to a ring and leaves some soapy lace. Nose is fruit forward, citrus, orange marmalade and stone fruit, somewhat spicy, fairly floral. After reading the description, I agree with the plum and cola notes. Pretty sweet, fairly tart, somewhat bitter. Medium bodied, fairly active, tingly and bright, with a yeasty tart and bitter finish. Pretty nice tripel, strikes a nice balance all around, though it doesn’t necessarily push it to the next level.

Interesting take on a tripel. Very strong saison-like flavor, with the addition of some tropical fruits. If this were labeled a saison I wouldn't have been surprised. Peppery etc. like a saison. Good Belgian yeast notes. Not carbonated highly, as is the American way it seems. Good. B+ ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500 ml. bottle. Pours a somewhat cloudy gold with a decent white head. Aroma of fruit, yeast, and spice. Taste is fruit, florals, cloves, yeast, and grass. Decent enough.

Bottle:   Dark straw, very fiery, very thick and hazy, sediment abounds, moderate to large frothy off-white head, nice lacing.   Big doughy and yeasty nose.   Pale breadiness as well, slightly fruity but its minor.   Bright alcoholic notes on the tongue, doughy, not as fruity or floral as others.   Bubbley, body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Finishes bready, pale fruit, but without much ump or rich floral notes.   Rather bland, no spice, no real Tripel character.   Pretty much a Belgian Ale that wished it were a Tripel.   Meh... if you want a real Tripel do not come here.

Golden pour with a white head. The aroma is full of orange citrus and wheat. The flavor is a bit more complex. I get some orange and wheat, as well as some yeast, grapes and raisins. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Nice tripel.

Bottle - pours cloudy golden with sediment. Nose of cherry, pineapple, yeast, and grass. Taste of cherries, grapefruit, and yeast. Funky metallic taste and chunky mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From bottle. Deep golden, with a lot of sediment floating around. Aroma is cola, yeast, and floral notes. Taste is prickly sweet caramel and spiced yeast flavors. A good golden but not much in terms of a tripel.

Hazy straw color with small white loose head. Aroma is clove, bannana with some bready sweet malt. Taste is malty breadiness with light spice and soft fruity sweetness on the follow through. Aftertaste is light malty sweetness that doesn’t linger very long. Mouthfeel is somewhat thin. Overall fairly balanced and not bad, but not really a standout beer for me.

Sweet candi sugar and Belgian Trappist yeast aroma. Some banana esters, but not too overwhelming. Belgian yeast taste is very tame for a tripel but is balanced. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
