33cl bottle shared with Kermis.
Very thin white head. Hazy blond pour. Very average kermis (12869) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - APR 20, 2016
Bottle shared. Hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma of yeast, herbs, caramel and malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation. erickok (6037) - Leuven, BELGIUM - JAN 18, 2016
Light misty, very stable head. Overripe banana, clove, sweaty, dark caramel, umami. Medium sweet, banana bread, earthy. I dig it, even though it’s low on hops. (33cl bottle from Dranken Pauwels) Alengrin (5255) - BELGIUM - NOV 21, 2015
As Tineke Van Heule in the current Gulden Spoor version (which I assume is still exactly the same beer); the house beer of Dranken Pauwels, but bought at Willems; older bottle. Thick, irregular, creamy, snow white head over a misty orange blonde beer with somewhat pinkish hue and tiny dead yeast particles floating around here and there. Aroma of dried apricot, red apple, some banana, fried egg, chamomille or other field flowers, old cake, jute, wet straw, bitter honey, something vanilla-like and, alas, clear and unmistakable DMS (cooked green cabbage). ’Belgian yeast’ onset, estery with impressions of banana, peach, pineapple and gooseberry, with a honeyish sweetness behind it, creamy and very smooth mouthfeel with soft carbo, caramelly and lightly toasted maltiness, spicy yeastiness on top of it (phenols but not overly so); this malt sweetness persists in the finish as expected, but is balanced there by some leafy, very earthy, lightly herbal hops providing bitterness. A glow of ’jenever’-like alcohol is there too but does not disturb - after all, this is basically a tripel, so this effect is to be expected. Too bad for the strong DMS which ruined the nose for me; the actual taste is better than the aroma. Still, this remains your average, ordinary Belgian tripel, nothing special worth seeking out. Inconspicuous, let’s say. altonbrownd (5898) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - SEP 27, 2015

Een van de lekkerste bieren dat ik ooit al geprobeerd heb. Echt een topper die iedereen eens zou moeten proberen. 77ships (9638) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - MAR 14, 2014
33 cl. bottle sampled. Procured from Willems. Hazy citrus, little white head. Smells of rotting yeast, overdone yoghurt, sour malts, touch fruit. Tastes of slightly sour yeast, huge chunk of it and very thick, eggs, yoghurt, overripe fruits. Thick yeast body. Nope, Gulden Spoor has some pretty nice beers but this one isn’t one of them. kraddel (7859) - Antwerp, BELGIUM - MAR 13, 2014
