Alengrin (5115) - BELGIUM - NOV 1, 2014
Whisky beer, i.e. made with the use of whisky malt, since 2010. Light beige head, dark bronze colour, aroma of raisins, white grapes, coffee grounds, liquorice, bark and something peaty; dry fruity taste, full and smooth maltiness, lightly sweet, spicy, resinous mouthfeel, soft bitterish finish with roasted accent.

33cl Bottle from Prik&Tik Pauwels. Clear chestnut brown colour, light-beige head. Aroma of thick sweet malts, dark fruits, toast, caramel, fudge, smells a lot stronger than 5%, like a mix between a good BSA and Paulaner Salvator. Flavour is sweet, malty, toast, brown sugar, fudge, dark fruits, some liquorice, bittersweet finish with some sugar. Medium bodied. Nice.
