Black Bird TIPA #1. Dry hopped black TIPA. Deze donkere TIPA zit vol met hop! Een mooie variatie van donker gebrande mouten laten de smaken van chocolade en koffie over je tong rollen. Dit is puur genieten, zet de tijd even stil, de muziek aan en leg je benen languit op de bank. Proost!

Ingredienten: Water/Mout/Hop/Gist. Mout: Pale Ale/Cara/Carafa. Hop: Centennial/Cascade/Summit. Spijs tip: Lekker bij stoofvlees en wild. 110 EBU, 100 EBC.

Medium/heavy aroma of malts, caramel, dark fruit, liquorice, chocolate, roasted malts and hops.

Opaque black beer with a medium brown head.

Starts medium/heavy sweet with malts, caramel, dark fruit, liquorice and chocolate; enda slightly bitter and dry with roasted malts and hops.

This beer is intense, complex and balanced. Great strong liquorice, roasted malts and hop flavours, but misses some tropical fruit to be honest. Perfect appearance and a great aroma and palate as well.

SlackerMads (3640) - DENMARK - MAY 8, 2017
Bottle received in the local European swap thanks to Christos. Dark brown close to black with a large light brown head with good retention, lace and regeneration. Hoppy nose with citrus, flowers, heathland, dust and mild roasted malt. The flavour has roasted malt, chocolate, citrus and dry flowers. Medium to full body, mild sweet and medium bitter. Hoppy finish. Fresh and well balanced.

Bottle @ home. Opaque dark brown to black color, medium sized brown colored head that lasts for a long time and leaves good lacing. Aroma is malts, dark malts, soft roast, hops and a distant touch of liquorice. Taste malts, decently roasty indeed, very nice medium bitterness, hop bitter, hops, malt bitter. Well, this is quite good actually, at least I like it. Medium body and medium to firm carbonation. Nice one!

THANKS for sharing RB people! Sampled draft @ Arendsnest during Carnivale Brettanomyces 2016! Black, little tanned. Nose is chocolate, burned coffee, licorice roast, cold coffee, herbal roast. Taste is artificial chocolate & licorice, herbal, vegetable roast, burned coffee. Basic touch vegetable roast body. Decent roasted porter & not really a BIPA for me. Its decent for sure, bit too vegetable.
