Bamsen78 (5400) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - JUL 15, 2017
Draught @ the brewpub. Pours hazy dark copper brown with small tan head. Mild aroma of malt and caramel, with some estery touches. Bitterish, roasty flavour with sweetish notes of caramel malt and touches of yeast. Estery aftertaste with roasty hints. Average. Not very clean - some off-ish notes prevail well into the aftertaste.

1 l bottle. Unclear reddish amber body with a light, lacing off-white head. Aroma of mild, dark malt, bread, caramel and a hint of bacon. Flavor is mild, roasted malt, caramel, some liquorice, hint of ripe banana, slightly acidic and moderate bitterness. Medium body and aftertaste. Fair enough.

Impressive 1000cl bottle bought as take out at the brewpub and brought back to share in UK. Pours a hazy dark brown with a medium sized off white head. Aroma of coffee, caramel, malt and prune. Medium sweetness with light sourness. Medium body with a slightly oily texture. Medium carbonation. Slightly underwhelmed and would have liked to have tried this at the venue during my evening tour of Gdansk but the venue was packed. Next time...

Draft at hotel’s brewpub. Rich cola brown, unfiltered, tight thick cream. A little tart-sweet. Smoke, leather. Quite smooth. Cool. Well conceived, quite tasty.

Drank this beer on the 31st of July 2014 at the brewpub in the Gdańsk Hotel, accompanying the famous duck à la brovarnia. Nice dark beer, a little cloudy. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, a little smokey. Light bitter taste. A very good Schwarzbier.

Ciemno-brązowe piwo o średnio-trwałej, gęstej pianie. W aromacie ciemne słody mieszały się z nutą siarkową. W smaku zdecydowanie lepiej, dobrze zbalansowane karmel, ciemne słody i lekka goryczka.

ectuohy27 (1175) - ESTONIA - JAN 10, 2014
Awesome to see something like this in an airport lounge (at GDN). 16.9 oz bottle, strong dark malt aroma, slightly unbalanced but very intense flavor of roasted nuts, caramel, and even smoke, with a thankfully sweetish aftertaste. Recommended
