Draught @ Brewpub: This one pours a hazy golden yellow color. There was a thin white head o it that left some lacing. It has a good nose. Bready, some spice, coriander, yeasty and some banana. The taste is very good. Banana, bready, hint of pineapple, some spice, just a bit of sweetness. A nice tripel. Even my wife liked this one. beerbill (3619) - Laurel, New York, USA - FEB 29, 2012
On draught at the brewpub. Arrived a hazy gold with a thin-moderate linen white head that lasted through the first two sips and left scant lace. Very pleasant fruity aroma of Belgian yeast. The flavor is malt with fruity Belgian yeast. A touch of fruit sweetness as well. Very mild bitterness at the finish. Fiarly smooth and well rounded on the palate. Medium bodied. Excellent. (Sample Date: 4/10/2010 Source:Other) Glass at the Troy pub. Peach pear fruitiness with sugar notes in aroma with spicy yeast phenolics. Clear deep golden with small lacy white head. Flavor follows aroma with candi sugar notes and peppery yeast character. Bit sweet and a little more complexity would be nice. argo0 (14127) - Washington DC, USA - SEP 16, 2009
(BCTC, draft) Medium white head atop hazy amber body. Aroma is medium sweet, yeast, some candi sugar. Taste is medium sweet, yeast, some sourness, candi sugar, light alcohol. Medium body. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - AUG 3, 2009
On tap @ BCTC 2009. Pours a deeper gold. Very strange BBQ bacon like aroma. On the other hand the taste was fruity, floral, raspberry sweetness. One of the stranger beers of the day IMO.
