shigadeyo (3819) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - JUN 6, 2015
Muddled coffee and chocolate in the aroma with a hint of char. Brown color, average body. Caramelized malt, bread crust, chocolate oatmeal, slight bit of cola. Pretty good.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a dark and murky brown with a thin white to tan head. Faint sweet roast on the nose. On the thin side of medium bodied, burnt plastic and roast. None of the depth of flavor and body that the double oatmeal had last night. Sweet dark stone fruit and roast into the finish, light bitter bakers cocoa into the finish.

Quick3Beers (1513) - East Falmouth, Massachusetts, USA - MAR 8, 2015
Pours a black from a bottle, aroma is of caramel and coffee, maybe coffee milk instead, flavor is a rather light bittersweetness, like coffee syrup but not as strong. Not much going on.

12oz bottle. Pours a dark brown with almost no head. Overly sweet malty aroma with a weird flavor combination of caramel, coffee and water. Meh.

On tap at Stone Hearth. Dark dark brown with small tan head and lace. Chocolate milk aroma with a little spicy woody hop and a touch of oat tang. Medium toasty milk chocolate and mild roasted coffee with subdued raisin fruit sweetness and mild oat tang with medium spicy woody bitterness. Pretty sweet all the way through. Creamy. med-full body. Pretty good.

Tap: dark brown with not much head. Malty flavors and a thin body. It’s not offensive but not impressive.
