Lovely, deep, copper-golden body shows good clarity and plentiful white foamy head that is well-retained.
Very fruity in the nose with suggestions of the honey fermentation (bit of waxiness, lots of straw and pepper). Ample maltiness adds gooey graham cracker while light citrus and alcohol, as well as ample phenols help to balance. Very clean and I like that, while there may be a bit too much alcohol, the esters are pretty easygoing on the banana/peach.
Strong stuff in the mouth! Whew....not even that it’s syrupy, overly malty or too rich, nor is it sharp or fusel-like. It’s just....full bodied and very, very warming. Notes of the honey mix with light citrus and more pepper. Malts are nicely attenuated and the texture is not sluggish or thick, the tight carbonation helping with that, as well. Overall, can’t completely get past the massive feel of the beer, even if the quality and cleanliness are top-notch. Also missing a little charm or individuality to it; could go for some more house yeast character/mustiness/earthiness. But both these complaints are more a personal preference (I’m basically complaining that their 9.3% strong ale is strong) and not something the brewer has done wrong.
Clear golden with a thin foamy white head that leaves a lot of lace. Honey and bittersweet orange peel on the nose, with a biscuity bit of Belgian pale malt. Flavor is the same with loads of honey and a little bittersweet orange ins flavors, a little Belgian yeast funk and fun little fruity ester, with a blonde Belgian malt body. Loads of honey and citrus right up front, and even at the finish. Mep3222 (1708) - East Greenbush, New York, USA - FEB 28, 2015
Lemongrass yeasty aroma and flavor. Slight sweet, but a bitter dry finish with some slight spice. Not bad.

Tap. Pours light yellow with white head. Smells yeast, not too much aroma. Has a very smooth, sweet taste. Slightly citrusy, really smooth and easy to drink. Good. mathieuc (4000) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 10, 2013
Bottle 237 out of 400. Lots of trub in the bottle... Opens up to a slow and continuous gusher... Pours a heavily cloudy yellow with a nice creamy white head with good retention and fair lacing. Nose is loaded with honey and phenols. Taste is sweet but not cloying with spicy flavors mixed with some nice honey characteristics. Fruity, overripe yellow plums or something like that. Body is medium+ and carbonation somehow under control despite the never ending gusher. Not bad but not something worth seeking out again.

On tap @ BRU. Pours a yellow orange appearance with a white head. Fairly spicy dry, tangerine, mango fruity, vanilla aroma. Pretty juicy, apricot, light banana, lemon, fairly dry, light champagne flavor. Favorite here so far. Steve_0 (3818) - Denver, Colorado, USA - JUN 8, 2013
On tap at the brewpub. Pour is hazy honeycomb with a big white head and great lacing. Fruity esters, doughy, biscuity, lightly spicy, white pepper, white grapes, a touch of pear, green apples and yeast in the aroma. Taste is musty, doughy, lightly citric, white pepper, clove, banana, orange peel, biscuity, and waxy with a lightly spicy finish. Melding body with soft carbonation. Damn tasty Belgian ... I need to pick some bottles up of this stuff. Brouwerij (959) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAR 29, 2013
Bottle 223. Pours a highly turbid, orange yellow with four fingers of fine white head. Bottle is a gusher. Great retention and lots of lacing. Aroma is fruity, sweet, honey, floral. Flavor is fruity, peaches, candy, honey, with a caramel, malty, mildly boozy finish. Alcohol masking is impressive, though not quite as good as i remember. Very fruity and semi-sweet throughout. Soft carbonation, medium body, and very smooth texture. An excellent local brew. flylikeabanana (179) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - MAR 24, 2013
UPDATED: MAR 27, 2013 Bottle pours an opaque peach-gold with a thick white head. Good retention, nice lacing. Sweet, floral aroma with notes of honey and citrus. Taste is complex and well-developed. Sugar up front, a bit of orange, black pepper, and a thick malty finish with all the characteristic sweetness of Belgian yeast. Very smooth. Delicious take on a Belgian golden ale.
