Saarlander (1920) - Saarlouis, GERMANY - JAN 4, 2005
One of the better pils I´ve had, Very balanced, refreshing, hopped well enough, similar to bitburger. I drink it alot when back home.

Bottle 33cl @Saarbrucken. A clear yellow beer with medium head. A quite dry pilsner, properly malted, fruit hints, nuts, medium hopy mostly spicy. Long bitterness aftertaste, no too bad.

Bierkrug (2129) - - SEP 29, 2011
500 ml bottle picked up at Wasanas in Germany. Pours a clear, gold color with big foamy white head, nice lacing. Aroma of herbs and hops with malt. Taste is somewhat bitter, with malt and hoppiness; Palate is dry, bitter, and soapy. Ok middle of the road.

Tap @ bar in Saarbrücken. Clear golden with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and light hoppy - straw. Flavor is medium sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and light bitter finish. 210714

Thanks to Erzengel for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass deep golden, small head. Starts quite malty, dry, wheaty. Grainy. Floury notes. Finish a bit boring dry. Okay.

2.7
bartlebier (4214) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - SEP 2, 2014
50cl bottle bb11/2014, more sweetish hays, damp cow fodder and thin caramel in aroma. Some noble hops make a pollen-like cameo appearance over dry, medium body. Wet yellow bark like bitter aftertaste. Not really all that refreshing or bright.

2.6
MoritzF (10199) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - JAN 10, 2007
(33cl bottle, from Saarlander) Clear, pale golden colour with foamy white medium head, quite persistent and lacing. Shy aroma of herbal hops with a blend of pale malt. Mild bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; medium carbonation. Moderately malty and herbal hoppy taste; dry and bitter, slightly soapy finish. Rather average.

bierkoning (13806) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - DEC 9, 2011
Bottle. Blonde. Soft grassy and chloride notes. Grassy hopbitter flavor. Hints of soap in the aftertaste. Thin.

2.6
Mariusz (12300) - Baden-Baden, GERMANY - MAY 31, 2012
Pours golden with a small white head. Robust yeastiness on the nose. Tastes clean and finishes pretty dry.

[bottle] Sweet, slightly corny malt with only detectable hops. Clear straw with a thin white wisp on top. Boring but crisp base malt with some strange vegetal component and a gentle bitterness. Light to medium body, low carbonation, slightly bitter finish. Boring.
