Bruegel is an easy drinking soft and tasty amber ale. Thanks to the refermentation it offers more body, more head and more taste than most other American and Belgian Amber ales. It is brewed with Dutch barley and German hops. Although the bitterness is clearly present, it is not dominant.

33 cL bottle. Pours clear orange with a lacing white head. Malty and mildly spiced aroma. Flavour is light fruity and light spiced. Mild caramel malt note with a light acidic touch. Light acidic finish with a spice note.

The color of this beer is amber and it has a beutiful caramel colored head. The aroma is slightly sweet, fruity, and fresh. The flavor is sweet, malty, and yeasty and rolls over the tongue with lemon and coriander notes. It turns in the end - and all the flavor with all of its complexity lingers a long time. It has a great palate for a beer thats "only" 5.2% ABV.

Bottled. Amber colour with mediumsized off-white head, which turns small quite fast. The small head last for long, along with the lace on the glass. Flavour is flowery hops, some breadyness and yeast. Vegetablyness dominates the finish and also aftertaste. very watery, and not too pleasant.

Bottle. Amber color, small white head. Aroma of caramel. Taste is similar. Not much character or complexity.

Clear amber-brown beer. Mild carbonation. Pretty uninteresting beer with a simple malt start and just a very light touch of hop in the crisp dry finish. Perfectly drinkable but very very average.

Orange-red. Light bodied. Balsamic, sweetind & sourish, but still simple....

(Bottle 33 cl) Amber golden with a small off-white head. Malty nose, and some roasted malt throughout. No real sweetness though. Not really what you would expect from Van Steenberge, but then again of course they would also have a "Speciale" type in their impressive portfolio. Pleasant if not exactly thrilling. 260798

Bottle shared in London - with Lyoli. Pours totally clear gold, effervescent, with a creamy white head. Pleasant lightly toasted biscuits in the aroma, subtle Belgian yeast, candi sugar. Medium sweet flavor with lightly dried, bready malts, light toffee, faint dried berries, dates, very slight leafy hops. Light to medium bodied with average to lively carbonation. Finishes sweet with simple but tasty bready malts, candi sugars, Belgian yeast, banana chips, lightly toasted toffee. Fairly basic but not bad overall.

Light amber color. Light aroma, corky (it is a corked Magnum bottle). Very dry mouthfeel, quite poor.
