750 ml bottle sampled at a local tasting. Pours dark brown to black in color with a small khaki colored head. The aroma and flavor have chocolate, tart berries, vinous character, dark caramel, wood, blueberry skins, interesting beer but too much for large amounts. 750ml bottle .. . black, viscous .. . blueberry, skin from blueberry, burnt seeds, booze, dark wood, homemade red .. . mouth is full, sticky, soft carbonation .. pretty interesting stuff .. . . Seals are trash mammals! EVERYONE knows that! Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - JUN 26, 2016
MEH, Its too vinegar tart, blue but no fruit flavors. I am not sure why this brewery is so popular. Art (3220) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - JUN 17, 2016
Pours a dark brown black slightly blue. Aromas of wine. Vanilla oak. Taste is sour but a bit over the top. Tone it down guys. superspak (6090) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - JUN 3, 2016
750 ml bottle into snifter, bottled on 1/18/2016. Pours dense pitch black color with a 1 finger foamy tan head with decent retention, that reduces to a thin spotty lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of huge tart blueberry, cherry, red wine, plum, raisin, chocolate, cocoa, fudge, caramel, molasses, brown sugar, bourbon, vanilla, toffee, toasted oak, light vinegar/funk, and yeast/roast/oak earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roasted malt, bourbon barrel, blueberries, a light fruity/funky yeast notes; with great strength. A bit of alcohol booze appears as it warms. Taste of huge tart blueberry, cherry, red wine, plum, raisin, chocolate, cocoa, fudge, caramel, molasses, brown sugar, bourbon, vanilla, toffee, toasted oak, light vinegar/funk, and yeast/roast/oak earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/acidic tartness, tannic oak spiciness, and light roasted bitterness; with lingering notes of blueberry, dark fruit, red wine, chocolate, cocoa, fudge, caramel, molasses, brown sugar, bourbon, vanilla, toffee, toasted oak, and yeast/roast/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roasted malt, bourbon barrel, blueberries, a light fruity/funky yeast flavors; with a great malt/tannic/tartness balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Lightly drying from acidic/tannic notes as well. Light-medium carbonation and very full body; with a smooth, creamy/slick, and lightly silky/chalky mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is well hidden with moderate warming and minimal booziness lingering after the finish. Overall this is an incredible barrel aged/fruited sour imperial stout. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roasted malt, bourbon barrel, blueberries, a light fruity/funky yeast flavors; and dangerously smooth to sip on for the enormous ABV. A highly enjoyable offering.

Dark black with purple tint... Aroma of bourbon, vanilla, dark chocolate, Black Tuesday, berries... Flavor is almost cloyingly sweet, berries, chocolate, bourbon... Finish is super sweet, hint of dark chocolate and bourbon on palate... Decent, a little too sweet

2015 bottle - BT type pour with a head that doesn’t last. Fruity BT nose with sweet malt, vanilla, barrel. Taste follows the nose. Slightly tart but how I would imagine a blueberry variant of BCS would taste. I enjoyed this a lot more than I expected to. kermis (14716) - The Hague / Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - MAR 12, 2016
Bottle shared at tasting, thanks! Near black with a small ring tan head. Aroma of tart red fruits, blueberries, bourbon, vanilla, oak, chocolate, caramel and toffee. Flavour is heavy sweet and light to moderate sour. Full bodied with soft carbonation. deanso (10123) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - MAR 12, 2016

No head. Clear black pour. The blueberry mixes nicely with the imperial stout. Easy drinking despite the high ABV
11 mar 2016, tap at the Bruery. Black. Nose is big, sweet, plums, raisins, alcohol. Full body and mildly fizzy. Rich, fruitcake, raisins, alcohol. Really nice!
