COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Confession is a true collaborative effort between the wine and beer world. A variation of our sour blonde ale, brewed in part by the Parker team, Confession was blended and fermented with juice pressed from Parker’s Riesling grapes. The result is remarkable. Not quite beer, not quite wine. Fragrant fruit flavors warm the nose, infiltrated by a slight funk from the wild yeast. The first sip is reminiscent of a dry, white wine, but everything changes upon further examination as the flavors marinate and reveal themselves with each gulp.

Clear pale yellow with visible carbonation but minimal head. Aroma is Riesling, wet wood, orange blossom. Light bodied, earthy sweetness on the palate with a lightly woody finish. Taste is Riesling, oak, orange blossom honey, hint of citrus zest. Interesting, and very wine like.

UPDATED: SEP 20, 2017 Tap room - White grape and some apple. Clear gold with a decent white head. White grape apple and some tannins with a dry finish. Too much Riesling not enough beer.

Bottle shared by AdamChandler, thanks man! It pours a hazy yellow with a small white head that leaves good lacing. Nose is of grapes, like a sour grape must perhaps and oak. Taste is of white grapes and moderately acidic. Really winey. Body is medium, carbonation moderate and mouthfeel like I just said felt vinous. Overall a nice oaky/winey beer, one of the better The Bruery we had that night.

Bottle (750 ml) at tasting. Shared by AdamChandler, thanks! Slightly hazy pale golden with a small bubbly white head leaving little to no lacing. Aroma is of Riesling grapes, moderate spiciness, dusty notes, oak and a bit of alcohol. Taste is grape forward with moderate spiciness, oak, musty notes, alcohol and lemon. Medium body. Moderate to medium carbonation. Vinous mouthfeel. Grapey finish with some spiciness. Some alcohol warmth. Not too acidic. Nice Riesling features. Not bad at all.

A - Gushed as soon as we opened but I caught it and we only lost a drop. Slightly cloudy pour although wasn’t when I opened it..that’s CO2 for you. thin white head that remains. yellowish orange color.

S - The nose is really good. You get Riesling grape undeniably with peach, tangerine, wheat. It’s a great nose with only a little tart.

T - Okay, this is a standout Terreaux beer for me. Tart, lemon grass, wheat, sour candies but not intense, sweetness with a nice solid european hop bitterness like Saaz and some citrus at the finish with a little bit of Reisling grape perhaps.

M - Dense carbonation, well blended. I enjoy the citrus tartness throughout.

O - This was a surprise stand-out for me. Really impressive.
