A steady pour into my teku glass barely summons up a 1/4-finger thick, pale, white head that quickly disappears; the carbonation is a little on the light side, but it is likely the grapes that get in the way of good head formation. the beer is a light gold color that shows a lightly hazed, pale straw color when held up to the light. The aroma smells like an oaky white wine; lightly tart, with an herbal vinous note, metallic green grape fruitiness, floral grape notes, a sort of grassy wine note (perhaps accentuated by the pale malt character), and perhaps a hint of woody, lightly toasted oak. The nose seems more dominated by the grape influences than the base beer, but there are touches of tartness (lactic), a hay like pale malt character, a light mustiness, perhaps a bit of funkiness that isn’t quite musky, and perhaps a pale cracker like character. As the beer warms up a sweet, floral, bright fruitiness can just be noticed underneath the surface.Huhzubendah (3775) - Washington DC, USA - SEP 27, 2013
Lightly effervescent, but still a touch prickly, the beer is only very lightly carbonated. The beer is fairly sour with mostly lactic acid notes contributing to this, but it melds in quite well with the natural acidity from the grapes such that this beer doesn’t really come off as being all that sour beyond a normal wine. The grape flavors definitely strongly influence the flavor; white grape floral notes, touches of tin in the finish, tart Riesling notes, and a green fruitiness. The base, sour blond beer provides touches of milky / baby-vomit (very mellow and not as bad as it sounds) funkiness, lots of lactic acidity, and hints of hay like grain.
Pretty decent, but it lacks a complexity that I am for some reason wishing for; more funkiness, and definitely more carbonation would be my preference. The beer as it has been made is a nice showcase for the Riesling grapes, but I am a beer guy, and want funkiness and base beer character to play a more prominent role with the grapes here. Still this is an enjoyable beer, and one that I am happy to be drinking.
The beer is pale yellow with a mild haze. The aroma brings white wine, grapes, grape skins, funk. A beautiful marriage of white wine and sour ale. Puckering and tart. White grapes are the star of the show. Really delicious. Funky, sour and tart with no acetic presence in the finish. Silky smooth and elegant.

Hazy gold pour with a nice sticky white head. Flavors of white wine, wild grapes, vanilla, toasted oak. This is the beer to bridge white wine lovers with. I loved it, but I do enjoy white wine. This will turn some away who do not enjoy wine. SudsMcDuff (8541) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - SEP 23, 2013

From the bottle. Pale yellow pour with white wine aroma and a lot of wine in the taste. A little sour bite, pretty damn good overall.

750mL thanks to BMan1113VR. Pours a low haze, brighter straw with weak foam. Nose is quite excellent with rich Muscatel white grape...peaches, mangosteen, fresh fruit smoothie. Taste brings mild acetic heat which doesn’t come across as too salty or vinegary, bright greener fresh grape, creamy peach. Palate is a tad salty and acetic but the thicker peaches and cream character gives it some thickness and sweetness. Overall yummy. pantanap (3367) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUL 4, 2013
750ml bottle thanks to Sean for sharing... Pours a golden hay mostly transparent hue and topped with a thin film of soapy white head... Buttery grapefruit and whit wine aroma. Not clean upfront but def cleans up... Perky semi-lively grapefruit and white wine accents throughout. Clean and completely drinkable. Doesn’t taste of the abv.
