COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We’ve been up a kriek before. This is an entirely different excursion. French for "raspberry", the term "framboise" is most commonly used when referring to raspberry fruited oak-aged sour ale. And we think that’s just Frambulous. Literally. Our SoCal take on the Belgian-style beer is a blend of oak-aged sour ale with raspberries, imparting a pinkish opulence to complement its boisterous, bubbly mouthfeel.

750 ml bottle, via dbarnold, 1/19/17. Pours clear pink-orange, with a small, fizzy head. Tart, fruity, and funky. A good bit of oak as well. Drinks very tart as well. Oak and funk notes underneath. For me, this lacks just a little the excellence of some of their best fruited sours, but it is still a really solid beer.

On tap @ Bruery Terreux. Looks like Kool Aid. Tastes like raspberry soda. Has some tartness of lemon juice. Slight seedy quality to the fruit and a touch of raspberry skin. There’s a good bit of lemon zest to it, too. Get some fruited yogurt sort of vibes from this, too. It’s fine. Not my favorite.

Bottle thanks to Will. Pours a cloudy pink with small off white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is strong raspberry, sweet cherry, funk, wood. Thin body, berry, yogurt, lacto, wood, nice tartness, very good.

Hazy pinkish copper with a thin light pink cap. Delightful tart raspberry and sweet funky nose. Crisp and sour wild flavor that’s tart with medium raspberry juice and sour flavors throughout.

floydslip (417) - Washington DC, USA - NOV 1, 2016
Reddish pink beer with a thin crackling pinkish-white head that disappears quickly. Strong fruity nose of raspberry, kandi sugar, and sour yeast. Flavor is actually quite dry with distinct fermented out raspberry, sour lemon, and some mouth coating wood. Crisply carbonated, this is a pleasant beer that is fruity without being sweet.
