Sour ale aged in an Oak Foeder with Hibiscus, Passion Fruit and Raspberry with Spices Added.
This is the kind of beer that both puts a spring in your step and transports you to island time. Wiki Wiki Tart is a sour ale that’s equal parts tropical, fruity, floral and funky. The ensemble of hibiscus, passion fruit and raspberries pluck harmonic notes, beginning with the passionate pink color and continuing through to its puckering flavor profile. Couple that with the soft touch of wheat, oak and complimentary island-esque spices, and you wouldn’t dream of trading places with anyone else (unless they’re sharing this beer with you but wearing a better Hawaiian shirt).

Fruity tropics sour. Not too tart. Very refreshing. Probably better to have drank this one in summer than January... ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle @ The Greenwald Residence. Thanks, Jake. Hazed bright pink pour with a massive white head. Lots of raspberry and hibiscus qualities but not as much in the way of passion fruit on the nose. Flavor is more tropical and also kind of grassy. Some nice funky passion fruit and guava flavors. Has a touch of berry and plenty of lemon juice. Maybe a hint of lime as well. Pretty solid.

750 ml bottle shared by AdamChandler. Pink in color, lots of fizzy carbonation. Aroma is mostly sour passion fruit with a mild flower note.

Upfront it has moderate passionfruit, oak, lemon juice, and tart raspberry. Hibiscus is more just a dried flower note. Has a acidic aftertaste. This has almost everything I dislike about sour ales in general. Not enjoyable for my tastes.

The Fourth Beer of my #6000 celebration (#4 of 13 - six beers on either side of 6000 and the milestone itself). Exploding bottle when you first crack it with a ton of bubbles rising out. Nice crisp peach, copper and light pink coloured body with a large tan head, that’s about four centimetres tall at first that fades like a soda to absolutely nothing a few seconds later. Aroma of sour grapes, light funk, gueuze, yeast and a ton of citrus - very little else and not much like a typical beer. Light-bodied; Assertive effervescence; Strong sour flavours at first with raspberries, lemons, grain and a touch of funk noticeable without much malt, depth or any hops whatsoever. Aftertaste is more of the tart and sour notes that were front and centre before with the raspberries, lemons and oranges that are noticeable along with a touch of tropical fruitiness and hint of yeast. Overall, a decent beer, but not showing enough complexity or depth that you’d expect from the style or any malt at all - this is mild and tart for sure, but it takes away from the beer as a whole. I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from Trader Joe’s in Arlington (Clarendon), Virginia on 19-October-2016 for US$9,99 sampled at home in Washington on 07-March-2017. 2016 Bottle // Purchased: 19-October-2016 // Sampled: 07-March -2017

75cl bottle, thanks peregrinari. Enormous salmon head that wholly dissipates atop cloudy salmon body. Aroma is moderately sweet, tart, guava, grapefruit/raspberry. Taste is moderately sweet, guava, orange, some raspberry, lemon. Effervescent light-medium body, some acidity.
