Brown colour, with almost no head. Aroma and flavours are of beef broth indeed. Heat and mix with port, mustard and shallots to form a nice sauce which goes excellent with beef tenderloin.

Drank on a ferry when shared by Eugene. Poured a hazed amber color with an off-white head. Light notes of smoke and roasted malt. The flavor again had light notes of roasted malt. Thin and watery with a hint of smoke and a touch of raisin. Light body. Should have thrown it overboard.

Bottle. [Great two day tasting session @ Papsoe] Small off-white bubbly head that mostly diminished. Clear amber color. Fair display of lacework. Aroma of citrus, fruit, caramel, grain. Over the palate roasted malt and a hint of butter. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Light bitter and sweet flavor. Light dry and bitter finish.

330 ml bottle purchased at the Vín Búđ - Kringlan, Reykjavik, Iceland. Pour is light orange, ruby, brown - clear. 2 inch off white foamy head. Aroma is dirty chemical, some nut-caramel sweetness. Taste is better than the nose, somewhat sweet, smooth drinkable palate.

On tap @ Gamli Barrin, Reykjalith, Iceland. Pours a clear cobber with an off-white head. Dry and sweet. Some notes of German hops. Also aromas of caramel malts and hints of toasted malts and dried berries. Medium bodied. Medium to soft carbonation. Dry finish.

Several of us at the Grand Tasting found this to be one of the highlights, I did not. Bron colour, low head. Saccharine aroma and colour from E150 maybe. Obviously no deeper malt sensations, just like a mediocre Swedish X-mas beer. Bit bitter.

Keg in the Kaldi Café, Reykjavik. Mahogany with a thin beige head. Not much aroma. The taste is light coffee and nut. Some choclate too. Creamy mouthfeel. OK.

Heavy carbonation. Large pssht when I crack open the cap, and the beer booms into a big foam when it hits the glass. Head is slow to die and easily revived with a light swirl. There’s not a lot of flavor going on, but in the back there is a bit of toasted almost-hazlenut. This really isn’t a bad beer.
