330ml bottle from Vinbudin, Reykjavik. Big foamy lasting beige head. Clear brown body. Roasted, with whiff of prunes, anice and vanilla rods. Bottled. an amber beer with a lazing thin beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with primary notes of caramel, and so is the flavor, though added a light note of metal, leading to a dry bitter and slightly metallic finish. Thanks to Emil for bringing this home from Iceland. fiulijn (20493) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 5, 2008
Bottle at Rover, Göteborg; great generosity of Pelletheisti (4126) - Kansas, USA - MAY 9, 2008
Dark amber color; creamy head. Light aroma of cereals, carmel and very light Saaz. Medium body strength, with a strong caramel flavor and some dark chocolate; it has a good bitterness level, but the caramelized malts cover the hop. The end is dry, as it seems to be quite common for this brewery. Not bad.
330 ml bottle purchased at the Vín Búð - Kringlan, Reykjavik, Iceland. Pour is light orange, ruby, brown - clear. 2 inch off white foamy head. Aroma is dirty chemical, some nut-caramel sweetness. Taste is better than the nose, somewhat sweet, smooth drinkable palate.

On tap at Olstofa in Akureyri. Pours a muddy amber brown with lots of creamy, lacing, off white head. Nose has mild grist, some nuts, some brown sugar, some caramel. Flavor is sweet with toffee and caramel, some mild bread, yeast, a little date. Finishes sweet. Not a bad Tmavy.
