Redgolden, white creamy head. Hay and malt in the aroma. Malt, angelica, heather, nice dry bitterness in the aftertaste
On tap at Kaldi, pours a clear amber with a small white head. Nose brings out toasted bready malts and some caramel. Flavour is about the same - very clean and balanced. Standard amber ale but well-made. Glingo (1) - - JAN 28, 2015 does not count

2014-02-20, draught at Micro Bar, Reykjavik, 6-4-6-3-13=32
Amber color, compact head. Quite good malt, caramel and cereals combination; light residual sweetness; fairly strong bitterness.
Uncomplicated but nice.
2008-03-05, bottle at Rover, Göteborg; great generosity of Pelle; 5-3-6-2-10=26
Deep blond color; creamy head. It has an evident dry caramel character, like a Vienna, but this one doesn’t show the Saaz. Too ordinary.
Nice brown amber with decent head that fades leaving a bit of lacing. Grainy malts with some roastiness on the aroma. Balance of hops and malts favours the malts in the flavour. No or very little roastiness, sweet malts that remind (not surprisingly) of a Czech pils but are sweeter and a bit more caramel flavoured. Some grassy hops on the finish.
It might deserve a higher rating than I give it here but Viennas need to pull something special to get me properly excited. haukur (2105) - Kópavogur, ICELAND - JAN 29, 2008
UPDATED: JAN 18, 2014 well, this is something new brewed for one month only. This is the least of Kaldi´s products, thinner taste than the rest, not hopped enough for my liking.Much more maltier than the other beers from this brewery, and that is perhaps the idea behind this beer, less hops, more malt. Still better then the beers from the other breweries here in Iceland 2.8

obvious saaz with herbs, with some slight hints of malt and butter. Tingling carbonation with a balanced finish of malt and herbal pilsner hops. Small but good for the style
