COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle; Unfiltered. Keg.
Brugse Zot Dubbel is a dark brown beer, inclining towards ruby red. It is brewed with six special varieties of malt, which give the beer a rich and distrinctive aroma. One can discover the scent of honey, almonds, chocolate and brown sugar. By using the Czech Saaz hop from Zatec, the beer has a complex palate of roasted malts and a distrinctive flavour. Brugse Zot Dubbel is known to leave a warm glow in the mouth with a bitter and hoppy finish, leaning towards liquorice and coffee roast. Bottle conditioned.

Ingredients: water, barley malt, sugar, Saaz hops, yeast.

draft at Blue Monk, Buffalo. Chestnut brown pour, sweet caramel malt with some sweet sugary notes in the aroma. Decent flavor for a dubbel, sweet caramel maltiness, fruity yeastiness. Better than anticipated

Fles33cl Kleur: Roodbruin, met een flinke creme schuimkraag die snel verdwijnt. Veel koolzuur. Geur: Kruidig Smaak: Licht zoet, alcoholisch. Bittere nasmaak. Een vrij zwaar bier. Wel lekker!

Typical belgian abbey double. Dark brown with nice beige head. Not a lot of aroma. Taste is just as youd expect from an abbey boudle, nothing special.

UPDATED: MAY 15, 2012 Disappointed with this one - not an interesting flavor at all and way too carbonated. Dark color, but boring flavor. Nice to try once, won’t repeat.

Bottle at a pub in Lier, Belgium. It poured a hazy amber-brown liquid with a big pale brown head. A lightly malted beer with some caramel. Not one of the better doubles Ive tried but ok to drink.
